Here is the big update for #NeoGeo NEO Street Fighter II: Hyper Edition: 1. Running on hardware at 55-60fps. 2. Uses “Rainbow Mode” in demo, but will also have CE mode, or Turbo mode. 3. Has Easter character 👀 4. Uses CE/Turbo palettes. 5. Uses a modified version of the SamSho scaling engine. 6. All backgrounds are custom made for Neo-Geo; they are NOT finished. There will be animations and breakable objects. 7. While I have mitigated most of the major issues with the port, there is still a way to go with refining and game engine selection. 8. The goal is not to re-invent SF2, but rather, make it unique and special to Neo-Geo. 9. I will not be screwing with the vanilla game logic or command code unless it is to directly adapt, or absolutely mandatory under development circumstances. Questions are welcome.

So… I was kinda bummed because I saw the SF2CE on Neo-Geo CD (which is awesome) because I had something I’ve been playing with for a few months. It’s actually been one of—if not the most difficult port (right there with Jag SamSho) that I’ve perused. Anyway, I was waiting for the Street Fighter premier to put it out—so I’ll say this: it’s not just a standard port, it’s a Neo-Geo tailored port. That’s all for now:
