Manchester United let Cristiano Ronaldo leave without a payoff, saving a reported $19 million in remaining wages. A month earlier, two of his former teammates were arguing over whether he should go.
โLet me finish!โ Roy Keane snapped as Gary Neville pushed for Ronaldo to leave.
October 2022. Ronaldo had refused to come on against Tottenham and left before the final whistle. United won 2โ0. Erik ten Hag dropped him for the next match.
Neville backed the punishment. Keane agreed Ronaldo was wrong โ but challenged how United were treating him.
Weeks earlier, Ten Hag had kept Ronaldo on the bench against Manchester City, saying it was out of respect for his career. Against Tottenham, he wanted him on for the closing minutes.
Keane didnโt think that added up.
Then Neville argued United were better without Ronaldo. They scored more goals and won more points without him. His reputation couldnโt guarantee him a place.
Keane pushed back. They had loved Ronaldoโs obsession with being the best when he arrived as a teenager. At 37, he still had it.
In the video below, neither will let the other finish. Both accept he deserved punishment. They cannot agree on whether United still needed him.
Weeks later, Ronaldo told Piers Morgan he felt betrayed by the club and had no respect for Ten Hag.
On November 22, United announced his departure by mutual agreement. Sky Sports reported there was no payout.
A year earlier, United had welcomed him back. Now they were saving millions by letting him leave.

๐จ RICHELLE RYAN SAYS ADULT STARS USED TO SHOOT UP TO 28 SCENES A MONTHโฆ AND STILL HAD TO ASK THEIR AGENTS FOR A DAY OFF.
Adam22 asked Richelle what originally made her want to enter the adult industry.
Her answer started with college bills.
She was working as a personal assistant before taking a dancing job at a club in Richmond, Virginia, where established adult performers would regularly make guest appearances.
To Richelle, their lifestyle looked glamorous.
So she studied the business, made a game plan, and entered the industry at 21.
Nearly 19 and a half years later, sheโs still in it.
But when Lena asked what the industry was like before OnlyFans and social media, Richelle revealed just how different things used to be.
โWe were doing 25, 28 scenes a month.โ
She said the workload got so intense that sheโd have to ask her agent for time off just to rest or get her nails done.
And building an independent online following?
Forget Instagram. Forget TikTok.
โWe literally just had MySpace.โ ๐ญ
Richelle explained that feature dancing, club appearances, and events were essential ways performers made money back then.
The conversation revealed how much the business has changed from an agent-controlled industry to one where creators have more opportunities to build their own platforms.
Would you rather work in the old industry with an agent booking everything, or todayโs creator economy where youโre responsible for building your own audience? ๐
