In 1943, the Gestapo finally caught Raymond Aubrac, one of France’s most wanted Resistance leaders. The German secret police sentenced him to death, and his execution was only days away.
At the same time, his wife Lucie was six months pregnant with their second child. Most people in her position would have gone into hiding, grieved quietly, and prayed for a miracle.
Lucie Aubrac decided to do something completely different.
She got her hands on forged identity papers, created a believable cover story, and walked straight into the office of Klaus Barbie. History would later remember Barbie as the brutal Butcher of Lyon, but Lucie did not let fear stop her.
She looked him in the eye and successfully convinced him to grant her a final visit with her condemned husband.
But Lucie did not risk her life just to say a tearful goodbye. While she was inside the prison area, she was secretly memorizing the positions of the guards, counting the minutes between patrols, and mapping out the exact route the prison truck would take.
She was treating a desperate situation like a military operation.
On October 21, 1943, that prison truck rolled through the streets of Lyon. It was carrying Raymond and several other prisoners toward what should have been their final destination.
What the German soldiers did not know was that Lucie had spent weeks quietly assembling a dedicated team of Resistance fighters.
She planned an ambush with absolute precision.
When the truck finally reached the chosen ambush spot, her team struck fast, coordinated, and without a single moment of hesitation.
In the middle of the sudden gunfire and chaos, Raymond Aubrac was pulled free from the truck. Lucie, who was visibly and unmistakably pregnant, had organized every single detail of his dramatic liberation.
Right after the rescue, the couple had to go into deep hiding. A few weeks later, Lucie gave birth to their daughter in a secret safe house while German forces searched frantically for them across France. They managed to evade capture until the war ended.
When liberation finally came, the Aubracs did not just try to sit back and recover from their trauma. Instead, they rebuilt their lives and continued to serve their country.
Raymond became a celebrated engineer and entered public life to help rebuild France's infrastructure. Lucie became a respected historian, pouring decades of her life into making sure that the women of the French Resistance were never forgotten.
She wanted to make sure these women, who were so often unnamed in the history books, were written permanently into the record. Together, the couple raised three children, traveled the world, argued, laughed, and grew old side by side.
Years later, journalists asked Lucie what had compelled her to risk everything on that dangerous October day. She did not hesitate for a second. She looked at them and said, "He was my husband. What else would I do?"
In his final years, he continued speaking publicly to young generations about the Resistance, the power of memory, and the absolute obligation to tell the truth about history.
When Lucie passed away in 2007 at 94, and Raymond followed her in 2012 at 97, they left behind a 64 year marriage that was a testament to the ultimate triumph of life and family over hatred.
Their love didn't just survive a war it blossomed into a lifetime of shared smiles, proving that the greatest force in the world is a heart that refuses to give up on the one it loves ♥️♥️

Lula vs. Bolsonaro: I was held in solitary confinement for 1,901 days for revealing the truth about the U.S. government's killings and espionage, including against Brazil and its industries. Out of power, Lula fought for my freedom. In power, Lula discussed my persecution with Pope Francis, who decided to meet with my family and offer help. After my release, Lula and I met in Rome to mourn the Holy Father's passing. Lula was kind to my children and asked for nothing in return. In contrast, Jair and Flávio Bolsonaro did nothing and said nothing. Yet without the ability to say no to Washington and Tel Aviv, there can be no domestic policy, only foreign instructions. Those orders are always the same: "Expand our theft of resources and wages, and keep your mouths shut about us murdering children." Sellouts will surrender everything in exchange for a cut, even their own tongues.

People often generalise about Pakistanis - calling them "backwards", "uneducated" or "third worlders".
This is my beautiful father. He came to the UK in the 1960s as a young boy.
A father to five daughters, he taught me how to swim, ride a bike, drive and negotiate business deals.
He never once complained about not having a son.
For a Muslim Pakistani immigrant in Britain, he was more progressive than his time. While Britain was still fighting for women's rights, my father was making sure his daughters had every tool they needed to navigate the world.
He didn't raise daughters to be dependent on men. He raised us to be capable and fearless.
So the next time you hear someone stereotype British Pakistanis, remember this:
There are good and bad people in every community.
But never mistake someone's background for a measure of their worth.

The Holy Quran employs the terms “Iblis” and “Satan” in a manner that suggests a subtle yet meaningful distinction between the two. While both names can refer to the same being, each carries its own significance.
The name Iblis appears 11 times in the Holy Quran, most often in connection with the command given to the angels to prostrate before Adam and Iblis’ refusal to comply. Yet, when the Quran narrates the temptation of Adam, the tempter is described as Satan rather than Iblis.
Hazrat Khalifatul Masih II (ra) explains that Adam had already been directly warned against Iblis and had no determination to disobey God. Therefore, Adam was approached by an agent or physical representative operating under Iblis’ influence – a satan, so to speak – whom Adam failed to recognise as a threat and mistook for a genuine advisor.
While Iblis is the name of a particular being, Satan functions as a broader term. A Satan is any being or influence that turns away from truth or seeks to lead others away from it. The Quran therefore applies the term not only to unseen beings but also to certain human beings.
The distinction also reflects two dimensions of spiritual decline: the stage of Iblis, marked by ignorance, loss of good, confusion and despair of God’s mercy; and the stage of Satan, an advanced phase of evil in which one actively works to misguide, envy and corrupt others.
Yet Satan possesses no coercive authority over human beings. His methods are deception, fear, false promises, greed and the exploitation of human weaknesses.
Understanding this distinction highlights the Quranic portrayal of evil and the moral responsibility placed upon every individual to resist influences that lead away from righteousness.

Someone from India asked Hazrat Amirul Momineen, Khalifatul Masih V (aa), whether, when visiting the grave of the Promised Messiah (as), one could also pray to God Almighty for worldly needs, such as success in examinations or blessings in business.
Huzoor-e-Anwar (aa) provided the following guidance in his letter dated 15 April 2024:
“The places where righteous and holy people, and those sent by God Almighty, are buried are also places where His grace and mercy descend. Therefore, when praying at such places, one should first praise and glorify God Almighty. For this purpose, Allah the Exalted has bestowed upon us such a great surah as Surah al-Fatihah.
“One should then invoke blessings and salutations of peace upon the benefactor of humanity, the Holy Prophet Muhammad, the Chosen One (sa), as every believer has been commanded to do. (Surah al-Ahzab, Ch.33: V.57)
“Next, pray for the elevation of the spiritual ranks of the revered persons buried there. Also pray, ‘O Allah, keep their followers steadfast in the virtues and teachings they brought.’ Then offer prayers for spiritual and worldly blessings for yourself and ask Allah the Exalted for whatever you wish. There is no harm in this.
“To guide members of the Jamaat, Hazrat Musleh-e-Maud (ra) delivered an address entitled Mazar Hazrat Masih-e-Maud Par Du‘a aur Is Ki Hikmat, which has been published in book form. In this address, Huzoor (ra) drew the attention of Jamaat members to many important matters. You should read it as well...
“Thus, it is permissible to visit the graves of the righteous and pray to Allah the Exalted for those revered persons, as well as to offer various supplications to Allah the Exalted alone for one’s own spiritual and worldly progress and the attainment of blessings. This does not constitute shirk in any way.
“However, petitioning those revered persons, asking them to fulfil one’s wishes or believing that those buried there can fulfil our wishes are all acts of shirk and sin.”

CONFIRMED: "Tommy"—the heckler who tried to gotcha El-Sayed at his Michigan town hall—is not some random guy. He is Thomas Teepell, Operations Director for Republican Senator Josh Hawley until February of this year.
This explains why his "gotcha" targeted the Muslim candidate.
The Handbasket first identified him via his X and Facebook profiles (Detroit) and LegiStorm, which confirms he ran Hawley’s Senate operations until February. Crooks and Liars, Newsy Today, and Lawyers Guns & Money have since confirmed it.
Tommy’s father is Timmy Teepell, a Republican strategist who worked for Bobby Jindal (2004–2011), ran his 2015 presidential campaign, and helped Josh Hawley win as Missouri Attorney General in 2016 and U.S. Senator in 2018.
Christian nationalist ties run deep. Timmy is described as the “most powerful ally” of Sean Feucht, who preaches Christian supremacy. Video shows Feucht praying over father and son. Tommy interviewed on-stage with Feucht at his D.C. headquarters in April 2024.
On October 2, the University of Michigan student paper revealed that America Next—a PAC founded by Bobby Jindal—offered College Republicans $200 to attend El-Sayed’s Flint town hall, boo him, and ask inflammatory questions for viral moments. Nothing happened in Flint; then Tommy appeared in Caro.
El-Sayed disavowed the Muslim Brotherhood on the spot, spent four minutes dismantling the question, and Tommy walked out.
The “gotcha” was on him.

Three years ago today, 13 House Democrats saw the obvious. Israel’s response to Hamas’ October 7 attack was disproportionate, and it needed to be stopped.
In just ten days, Israel had killed 2,808 Palestinians in Gaza and wounded 10,850 more. Entire families were killed inside their homes. One million Palestinians had been displaced, and hospitals were approaching collapse as Israel’s siege blocked food, water, and medicine.
“They are running out of body bags,” Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib said through tears.
On October 16, 2023, only 13 House Democrats put their names on the Ceasefire Now Resolution: Cori Bush, Rashida Tlaib, André Carson, Summer Lee, Delia Ramirez, Jamaal Bowman, Bonnie Watson Coleman, Chuy García, Jonathan Jackson, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, and Nydia Velázquez.
They were trying to help prevent a genocide. The resolution never received a vote, and AIPAC and its allies later spent a combined $31,383,244 to defeat two of the original 13, Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush.
Because of an AIPAC-bought Congress and two presidential administrations that supplied the money and weapons, Israel has carried its violence from Gaza into the West Bank. Israeli settler terrorists just nearly beat Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine to death while she documented Palestinian families harvesting their olives. Israeli soldiers did nothing to stop the attacks.
The next votes on weapons for Israel will be cast by the people we elect in 18 days.
Three years ago, 13 Democrats stood nearly alone.
This January, the Track AIPAC caucus will include 27 members – more than double the number who stood up three years ago today.
But there are still more races we can win, and we have 18 days left to get it done.

A 30 percent vitamin C solution dissolved in DMSO cleared 86 percent of basal cell skin cancer lesions within eight weeks in a clinical trial. In a randomized study published in Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, researchers tested a topical mix of high-concentration ascorbic acid and dimethyl sulfoxide, a solvent that helps substances penetrate deeply into the skin.
Applied twice daily for eight weeks, the combination produced complete clearance in 13 of 15 lesions (86.7 percent) among patients with low-risk basal cell carcinoma. This rate exceeded that of the standard topical treatment imiquimod, which cleared 8 of 14 lesions (57.1 percent). The vitamin C–DMSO formulation also caused fewer side effects and avoided the lasting skin hypopigmentation sometimes seen with conventional topical therapies.
Because basal cell carcinoma is the most common form of skin cancer worldwide, these early results suggest a possible low-cost, non-invasive option. Larger trials are still required before the approach can be adopted as standard care.

BREAKING: Israeli spyware is confirmed on our phones. This should be headline news but none of our mainstream media is covering it, of course. So we will.
An Israeli ad company called Discover-Tech used ordinary online ads to plant spyware on people’s devices, and nobody had to click anything. The ad just had to load on a website or inside an app for you to be infected.
Citizen Lab and the ad security firm Confiant published the findings yesterday. Researchers went through roughly 4 billion ad-bidding records and found Discover-Tech ads running on more than 120,000 websites and 70,000 apps between March and June of this year. Confiant says the company was serving at least 10 million ads a day.
The platform was called Controlium. According to Citizen Lab, it let spyware companies use ad auctions to profile and unmask users, then send an infected ad to the one person they wanted to hack. The ads were also pulling cookies and login tokens from the sites they ran on. Israeli corporate records list Dekel Boni as the company’s founding director and sole shareholder.
The main spyware customer was Candiru, the Israeli firm the U.S. government blacklisted in 2021, which now goes by Integrity Labs. Five years after that blacklisting, it was still reaching devices through ad inventory on Google, Comcast-owned Beeswax and Russia’s Yandex. Google had Discover-Tech on its approved vendor list from 2020 until this week.
At least 45 Al Jazeera devices were targeted in 2024 and 2025. Candiru’s 2021 shareholder filings reportedly listed a minority investor described as a proxy for Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund, and Qatar also funds Al Jazeera. If that holds up, Qatari state money was sitting inside the company whose spyware was later aimed at Qatar’s own news network.
The heaviest targeting was in the Palestinian territories, where Discover-Tech served almost 2% of all digital ads and about 10% on April 7. Traffic also reached the Armenian prime minister’s office, courts, universities and defense organizations.
Google and the other ad platforms cut Discover-Tech off after the report came out. What nobody has answered yet is who paid for the ad buys, and how a company working with a U.S.-blacklisted spyware vendor passed vendor review for six years.
I am going to look into this today to see if we can figure out who was buying the ads. Interesting timing considering my article yesterday....
Here's what to do to protect yourself:
(1) Use an ad blocker. Citizen Lab calls ad-blocking a cybersecurity best practice and says there is no consistently safe way to be exposed to targeted ads. On iPhone, add a Safari content blocker. On Android, use Brave or Firefox with uBlock Origin. Ad blockers only work in your browser, not inside apps, so it also helps to delete free ad-supported apps you don’t need.
Kill your advertising ID.
(2) iPhone: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track.” Then Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising, and turn Personalized Ads off.
(2) Android 12 or later: Settings > Privacy > Ads > Delete Advertising ID. Then in Settings > Google > All Services > Privacy & security > Ads > Ads privacy, turn off Ad topics and Ad measurement.
(3) Windows 11: Settings > Privacy & Security > General, and turn off personalized ads using your advertising ID.
(4) Update your phone and restart it often. Many zero-click exploits don’t survive a reboot, so a daily restart forces attackers to reinfect you.
Stay tuned!

Prayers for Ahmadis of Pakistan and Malaysia
On Friday, 16 October 2026, in his Friday Sermon, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih (V) highlighted the persecution of Ahmadis in Pakistan and Malaysia, including the involvement of some government authorities and urged increased supplications and voluntary prayers for Allah’s protection.
Huzoor (aa) said:
“At this time, I also wish to remind you once again to pray for the Ahmadis in Pakistan. In the name of Allah the Exalted and His Messenger (sa), oppressors – who are in fact terrorists or people with vested interests of their own – are persecuting Ahmadis with the utmost cruelty. At times, government officials too are backing them. For fear of the mullahs, the asiran-e-rah-e-Maula [those imprisoned for their faith] are not granted bail or judges are afraid to rule in their favour. There are some courageous officials and there are also judges who occasionally show courage. Generally, however, those who foment disorder in the name of Islam have created an atmosphere of fear in the country and the entire state machinery is afraid of them. May Allah the Almighty soon bring about the means for these wicked people and those who foment disorder to be brought to account. [Amin.]
“Ahmadis in Pakistan should also place particular emphasis these days on durood [invoking blessings upon the Holy Prophet (sa)], istighfar [seeking Allah’s forgiveness] and the [special] prayers I mentioned previously. They should give particular attention to nawafil [voluntary prayers] and pray most earnestly to seek refuge with Allah the Almighty from these oppressors. May Allah the Almighty also enable them to do so.
“Similarly, the Jamaat in Malaysia is also facing very difficult circumstances. There too, certain government bodies are treating Ahmadis harshly. Our mosques are raided and arrests are also made without any cause. May Allah the Almighty keep the Ahmadis of Malaysia too in His protection and care.”
