In January your UK energy bill is going up by over £400 a year.
But at least you are gifting Lamborghinis and gold toilets to Ukrainian oligarchs.

Today’s budget was a missed opportunity to put an end to a failed economic model that impoverishes the many and enriches the few.

We *had* a socialist Labour Party 2015-19. As you know.
As you also know, @andyburnham refused to support it flounced off to Manchester & left Corbyn to be sabotaged by the Labour machine. And now he & the Labour machine want our support? I don't f*cking think so
Vote Green 💚
Burnham has laid out a bold vision for Britain. Now, we must turn his vision into action.
Socialists are already organising across our movement. But we need you.
It’s time for a socialist Labour Party ready to deliver change.

Our petition for a public inquiry into Britain’s role in Gaza has hit 10,000 signatures.
Now, let’s get it to 100,000 to force a debate.
The public deserves to know the full scale of Britain’s complicity in genocide.

As millions struggle with the cost of living, spending billions on war is the wrong political choice.
My piece for @tribunemagazine on the need for a budget for the people!

If I was Prime Minister , if I was Burnham , watching European cities ablaze . . . I’d instigate a ‘wealth tax’ at about 9.01am tomorrow morning . Just saying . Or should we just ‘eat cake’ ?

This is unsustainable. There needs to be an emergency package of government support for both households and businesses. In the medium & longer term we have to have much lower energy bills.

The problem with Margaret Thatcher is that evil bitch is long dead, but all her evil policies are still going.

We spent £137 billion on bailing out the banks after 2008.
Tell me again how we can't afford disabled people and pensioners.

It shouldn’t be like this but it is. For most wages have stagnated -or even fallen- while prices for essentials have rocketed. This is the longest sustained fall in living standards we have ever experienced and no one seems to be doing anything about it.
The biggest scam about working full time is that you can spend the entire month making money and still have absolutely nothing to show for it.
You wake up early, spend most of your day working, come home exhausted and do it all again the next morning. Payday arrives, and for about five minutes you feel like you can finally relax. Then the rent goes out, the bills come off, the food shop gets done, and you're practically back where you started.
You're not building wealth, you're not getting ahead, and you're certainly not living some luxurious lifestyle. You're just trying to keep your head above water. We're told that hard work pays off, but for millions of people, hard work just pays the bills.

The world is 700% richer than in 1970 but the average person is only 8% richer.
Because the richest 0.01% are 4000% richer.
We are all being robbed every second of every day, and it doesn't matter how much profit or growth there is.
It will never reach you.

Petition: Reduce the state pension age to 65 for all
Reduce the state pension age to 65. We believe this could mean people can retire with dignity and avoid hardship. We also think it could free up jobs for younger workers entering the labour market.

I strongly oppose the removal of the pensions triple-lock.
More than 2 million pensioners live in poverty. They will be the ones who suffer the most by taking away pension security.
We must protect the principle of universalism. That is why we opposed cuts to winter fuel - and that is why we must oppose any means-testing of the state pension.
This isn't about old versus young. This is about the super-rich versus the rest. That's why we should be taxing wealth to fund social care for all.

Today I led a debate in Parliament to ban ALL MPs’ second jobs.
Nigel Farage didn’t show up to defend any of his - including the latest one, raking in £22,500 an hour to promote a gold dealer.
The gravy train must end. Watch the debate below.

BREAKING: I've secured a parliamentary debate next week on banning all MPs' second jobs.
Farage has pocketed over £1 MILLION from outside "work" since the General Election
Being an MP is a full-time job. No MP should be out chasing lucrative second jobs.
Let's end this racket!

Keir Starmer could have ended child poverty, homelessness and the grotesque levels of inequality in this country.
Instead, he abandoned those in need, destroyed our civil liberties and facilitated genocide in Gaza.
That is how this Prime Minister will be remembered - and that is the legacy of moral and political bankruptcy he leaves behind.
The crises in our society are not going away. Neither are we - and we will keep fighting for a more equal, peaceful and dignified society for all.

The Prime Minister says his government has got "the big political decisions right". Let's go through them.
The government chose to cut welfare so it could spend even more on weapons and war.
The government chose to demonise the sick and disabled.
The government chose to keep children in poverty until it was dragged kicking and screaming to finally scrap the two-child benefit cap.
The government chose not to bring water into public ownership, not to tax wealth and not to implement rent controls.
The government chose to arm Israel and participate in genocide.
The government chose to let the US use British air bases for its war crimes in Iran.
The government chose to let Palantir get its hands on our NHS.
The government chose to scapegoat migrants and refugees for its own failures.
Poverty, inequality and genocide. Those are the government's big decisions. And that is how this government will be remembered.

In the UK, there are:
2.4 million men aged 65 to 67
5.5 million women aged 60 to 67
These people would all have been getting the Old Age Pension if the retirement age had not been increased. THIS is why more people of working age are claiming sickness & #disability #benefits.

This misses the point. There was an immunity gap for Men B, which is why the Kent students became ill. All over the country there are students of the same age who not immunised for Men B.
