Sometimes the most unexpected moments end up becoming the most meaningful ones.
While I was backstage at ArgoCon, focused on preparing for my talk, a colleague walked up to me and showed me a picture on his phone. On the screen was my name, highlighted during a shoutout from Michael Crenshaw for becoming an Approver.
I genuinely wasn’t expecting it. I wasn’t even in the room when it happened. Later, I watched the recording, and the feeling was surreal.
This milestone was possible thanks to months of collaboration with two amazing contributors - Blake Pettersson & Ryan Umstead .
What makes this journey even more special is that it didn’t end there. I received another shoutout at ArgoCon EU 2025 in London, and now again 6 months later at ArgoCon North America in Atlanta.
These moments remind me why I love contributing to open source - the teamwork, the learning, and the kindness of a community that recognizes effort even when you’re quietly working backstage.
Grateful to the Argo community, my company, fellow contributors, and everyone who continues to push open source forward.
Here’s to more collaboration and continued growth!
It’s just crazy and i believe making money especially in tech has not been ever easier than before. There are two types of people i have seen - First one complaining about AI taking their jobs in future and the second one taking this time strategically to build insane money that could never be possible before AI wave.
