I woke up this morning with a broken heart. Pelumi Emmanuel Onifade was a young journalist who went out to cover the #EndSARS protests. He never returned home. Jimoh Isiaq, Olalekan Abideen Ashafa, Abuta Solomon, Kenechukwu Ugoh, and so many others also lost their lives. They were young Nigerians with dreams, families, and futures ahead of them. They were someone’s son, someone’s brother, someone's sister and someone’s pride and hope. Today, I ask: WHERE IS THEIR JUSTICE? Must their families live forever with grief and unanswered questions? Must we simply move on as though their lives meant nothing? A nation that forgets the blood of its children risks losing its own conscience. Their deaths must not be swept under the carpet of our national amnesia, they deserve justice. May their souls rest in peace, amen.

Someone sent me a post that said this on it about the murder of Liverpool’s Ken Bigley: “These are the last images of Ken Bigley. Moments before he knew his head was to be hacked off on camera. I was sent the video years ago. Not because of murder porn but as a warning of what will come if we don't stop it. It changed me as a man. Mohammed Yaseem took his time. Smiled at the camera. He took his time removing Kens head while still conscious. Thats the idea. The same as the videos of Jewish women having their breasts cut off and thrown around like a ball as she lays there screaming knowing whats coming next. They kept him in a cage for hours telling him his inevitable fate. Unimaginable cruelty. His crime.... being a westerner. His killer Mohamed Yaseen Mohammed Yaseen is also responsible for setting fire to women and girls in cages for not submitting to Islam. He burned them alive. Laughing and shouting Allahu Akbar. God is great Setting fire to children and women and slowly removing another humans head whilst praising a sky wizard..... Have a wild guess where he lives now???? Windsor. Seen shopping in the Co Op We know he's not working so your paying his rent, utilities and food bill. Our government won't deport him or lock him up. Where's the fuckin morality?” It is truly terrifying what we are allowing our government to do to us.

Six years later, not much has changed. Same government, same playbook of fear and intimidation. Today, right here at the Lekki Toll Gate, citizens gathered peacefully to honor the lives lost six years ago during EndSARS. And how did the authorities respond? By firing tear gas at us. Let that sink in. Six years after a generation cried out for basic dignity, safety, and accountability in policing, a peaceful memorial is still met with an unprovoked tear gas attack? The message is loud and clear, they are still terrified of remembrance, they are still terrified of accountability, and they are still terrified of YOU speaking up. Expressing grief and sympathy is not a crime. Peaceful assembly and solemn reflection should not be met with state brutality and repression. Effective governance is not about silencing the streets. It is about building a system that listens, that protects, that includes and that provides for everyone. To every young person and resident carrying the vision of a better Lagos, never forget that your voice is powerful, that your vote carries your voice and that the ballot is the vehicle through which you can speak loudest and change the story. We remember, We rise. FD Ó Ti Yá. #EndSARS #Lagos #FunsoDoherty #OTiYa #NDC

When I was Muslim, I never noticed what the Quran DOESN'T have. Namely, exact dates, exact places or exact titles or names you can check. Bro, when you read the Quran’s stories there is literally zero chronology, almost no geography, kings called only “Pharaoh,” events floating in no particular year. It is incredibly vague. You cannot get answers to questions like: Where did the story happen? When? Under whom? The text doesn’t say. You can’t check it, which conveniently means you can’t check it. Now, contrast that to the Bible, read the opening of Luke 3: “In the FIFTEENTH YEAR of the reign of TIBERIUS CAESAR — PONTIUS PILATE being governor of JUDEA, HEROD being tetrarch of GALILEE, his brother PHILIP tetrarch of ITUREA and TRACHONITIS, and LYSANIAS tetrarch of ABILENE, during the high priesthood of ANNAS and CAIAPHAS…” SEVEN historical anchors in one sentence. An emperor, a governor, three rulers with their exact territories, two high priests. And people HAVE checked — for centuries, often trying to break it. Skeptics mocked Luke’s “Lysanias of Abilene” as an error… UNTIL an inscription naming Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene turned up. Pilate was called legend by some… until the Pilate Stone was dug up at Caesarea in 1961 with his name and title carved in it. Luke 1:3-4 tells you why: “Having followed all things closely… that you may have CERTAINTY.” Certainty. That’s the offer of the Bible. The Quran floats above history where nothing can touch it. The Bible planted its flag in checkable ground and said: dig. I dug. It’s still standing. Praise the Lord and His mighty God-Breathed scripture.

#EndSARS | Six Years On… Some never returned. Some parents still wait, clutching at hope where answers should have been. Yet, they said no one died. Then came the haunting contradiction: inflated contracts awarded to bury the very dead whose deaths were denied.

One nation under God. Yet, beneath its silence, a thousand cries still echo.

“Politicians infiltrate the NYSC list with fake identities, sew NYSC uniforms for them, and deploy them as polling officials on Election Day.” — Mike Igini, former senior INEC official. Is Nigeria actually a real country? Or are we in a tragic parody? xitter.cf/Jesuferanmmi/status/21…

Let me be honest. I wanted to stay Muslim so badly. Not even because of God or faith at first, but because of the life attached to my faith. My dad’s businesses were waiting for me -  all signed and ready. My mom’s community surrounded me: doctors, lawyers and politicians. Bro, success was laid out in front of me. There was even an arranged marriage lined up for me. She was on track to be a doctor. Beautiful future with the house, the wedding, all of it. All I had to do was say one sentence: “Yeah, I still believe.” That was it. If I said it, I could keep the money, keep the family approval and keep the life I had always known. But here’s the problem, once I met Him, I could not unsee Jesus. When I really read the Quran and compared it to the Gospel, I couldn’t force myself back into pretending Islam was the truth. Honestly bro, knowledge becomes heavy at that point. I didn’t leave Islam to rebel, despite what many believe about me. I left because I could not betray what I believed was true. No business opportunity, no relationship, no comfortable future was worth denying the King who gave His life for me. So yeah, my life would have been easier if I stayed. But when Jesus says, “I am the way,” you don’t answer with, “But the other path feels safer.” You pick up your cross and walk. Follow me for more conversations about Islam, Christianity, Scripture, and how we can reach Muslims with the Gospel.

Nigerian politicians today
A farmer, tired of rats destroying his crops and stealing his grain, came up with a clever but cruel plan. He threw a dead pig into a deep, abandoned well. Attracted by the smell, nearly 80 rats rushed into the well to feast on the carcass. At first, everything seemed wonderful. There was more than enough food for everyone, and the rats ate until they were satisfied. But when the food was gone, they discovered something terrifying. The walls of the well were too steep to climb. They were trapped. Days passed, and hunger turned into desperation. Desperation turned into aggression. The rats that had once eaten peacefully beside one another began fighting for survival. Eventually, they began killing and eating each other. One by one, their numbers dwindled until only a single rat remained. Its eyes were bloodshot, and it had survived by consuming its own kind. Then the farmer returned, lowered a rope into the well, and rescued the last surviving rat. But he didn't save it out of kindness or compassion. The farmer knew the rat had learned to survive by hunting other rats. When he released it into his fields, it would continue killing its own kind instead of eating his grain. The farmer had turned his enemy into his greatest weapon. And that is the lesson of divide and conquer. Those who control the trap don't need to fight the battles themselves. They simply create the conditions in which others turn against one another. The rats believed their enemies were the other rats. They never realized that the true enemy was the farmer who had put them there. The greatest danger isn't always the enemy standing in front of you. Sometimes it's the one who created the conflict and stands quietly watching you destroy each other. Before you turn against your neighbor because of their political beliefs, ask yourself who benefits from keeping Americans divided. While we fight each other over Republican and Democrat, we may be overlooking those who profit from the conflict. Perhaps the real question isn't which side you're on, but who built the well—and why they want us fighting at the bottom of it.

I have noted with deep concern the conduct of the ADC campaign team. The attacks directed at me, our presidential candidate His Excellency Peter Obi, and our party, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), are unnecessary and unhelpful. Rather than focusing on presenting the competence, credibility, and capacity of their own candidate as we have consistently done by placing our credentials and record of achievements before Nigerians, the ADC Presidential Campaign Council appears intent on creating mischief against our party and ticket. This includes attempts to portray us as working for the ruling party or to suggest that we may withdraw from the race in favour of the ADC candidate at the last minute. The ADC-PCC would be better served directing its energy toward rebutting the serious allegations levelled against their candidate by the Vice President, His Excellency Kashim Shettima, instead of targeting me and His Excellency Peter Obi. We are aware that the ADC-PCC may try to mislead our supporters on the eve of the election by claiming that we intend to withdraw in their favour. Let me state clearly and unequivocally: we will not withdraw our candidature for the ADC or any other party. We remain confident in our capacity, competence, and readiness to lead Nigeria. The OK ticket is neither working for nor acting on behalf of the APC or any of its candidates. We see no possibility or reason to withdraw from the presidential race in favour of the ADC candidate or any other. These claims are unfounded and should be treated as such. The APC-led government has failed Nigerians. The ADC offers no better alternative. We believe the OK ticket presents a credible and viable option, backed by proven capacity, a strong track record, credibility, and broad support across both Northern and Southern Nigeria. It is a healing ticket committed to uniting our country and tackling critical challenges in security, education, agriculture, infrastructure, healthcare, the economy, and other key sectors. We believe the NDC remains the most formidable and viable opposition party in the country. I therefore urge all our supporters and well-meaning Nigerians to continue working toward the victory of our great party. Nigeria will be OK. - RMK

An Open Letter to Segun Sowunmi: What happened to the man I once admired? Dear Segun @SegunShowunmi 1. There was a time I admired you deeply. 2. I listened to you defend the PDP and saw an articulate man capable of rebuilding a troubled party. 3. I even hoped you might become its national chairman during the debates surrounding Bukola Saraki and the party's future. 4. But admiration cannot survive every contradiction. 5. Over time, I watched your political positions change like the weather. 6. One moment, you appeared sympathetic to Peter Obi. 7. The next, you attacked him. 8. Yesterday, you defended Atiku. 9. Today, you praise Tinubu. 10. Every change may have an explanation. 11. Together, they leave me wondering what you truly believe. 12. Your praise for Nyesom troubled me most. 13. How does a man who professes democracy applaud political conduct that, in my opinion, undermines its very foundations? 14. Now, your disagreement with Reno Omokri has revived allegations about your former paid role with Atiku.I cannot independently verify the financial claims. 15. But Segun, how are you holding up? 16. Are you okay? 17. If life has become financially difficult, please tell us. 18. We can organise a GoFundMe. 19. I would rather contribute towards your welfare than watch a once admired voice surrender its credibility. 20. I bear you no bitterness. Only disappointment. 21. Politics permits a man to change his mind. It should never require him to change his spine. 22. And a man who stands for everything eventually stands for nothing. 23. I hope you find your way Kind regards, Dr Preach Ojukwu
