Day 1 at NISA 2026 Evidence only creates impact when it moves beyond the page. That was one of the key messages from Dr Uchenna Igbokwe, CEO of SCIDaR, at the 2026 Nigerian Implementation Science Alliance (NISA) Conference in Abuja. Speaking during the plenary session, “Leading the Next Chapter: Shaping the Future of NISA and Implementation Science in Africa,” Dr Igbokwe called for stronger collaboration between researchers and government to ensure that evidence moves beyond publications and into policies, programmes and decisions that drive development. “We need to move from ‘table value’ to ‘active value’.” For SCIDaR, this is at the heart of implementation science: generating evidence is only the beginning. The real value comes when that evidence is understood, applied and used to drive change. We are proud to see our CEO contributing to this important conversation and championing a stronger connection between evidence, policy and impact. And this is only Day 1. SCIDaR is bringing more to the conversation on Day 2. Stay tuned. #SCIDaR #NISA2026 #ImplementationScience #FromEvidenceToImpact #HealthSystems #PublicHealth
