Become comfortable with not buying coins that don’t make sense to you even if they are running
This doesn't matter long-term - better alternatives exist. A BTC pump over the next decade creates a massive tailwind for decentralized, private stores of value, which is the real endgame anyway as retail hunts for the next BTC.

Always remember that you can just do things and you can create any version of yourself that you want and it’s not constrained or predetermined
Have a good weekend ❤️
Q for $ORE brains: why doesn’t long-run price just converge to ‘production cost + protocol rev’? What’s the actual SoV premium thesis on top of that? Why don’t miners / short-term users eventually arb away all excess?
Is it the limited supply argument of 5 million total coins? Or staking yield maybe, but that's reflexive to the downside too?

not sure if btc continues to provide diminishing returns but it is certainly possible (i choose to believe it wont for now)
but alts (on average) will continue to get more difficult and dangerous to trade imo, irreversible trend.
(1) massive competition amongst increasingly sophisticated buyers (who simultaneously believe less)
(2) primarily traded on perps/with leverage.
(3) huge dilution in coins with mkt valuing stuff high by default without justification
(4) launch FDVs always capturing 100% of optimism for the asset without respecting price/valuarion
(5) too much pre-market price discovery for (4) to be safe
the average 2017 buyer buys spot and hodls weeks/months cos they believe, add on the way up, asset was trading at low val early so works out.
average 2025 buyer is buying on perps without checking the valuation and sells whenever their PNL goes red or force sells in liquidation.
however, it will remain the best place for returns for smart ppl. skill expression and asset selection is much more important. patience much more highly rewarded over being "early" on liquid markets last few years.
and then outlier assets will continue to exist, maybe 1 every couple of years, and when they turn up you can turn brain off and 2017 it.
imo anyways (hopefully)

There’s two ways to operate in this space:
1) Be faster or first
2) Underwrite investments better than others
Today displayed both of these paths as valuable ways forward in crypto.

Hear Stanley Druckenmiller @standuquesne on what makes a great trader.
1. Ultra-competitive and indomitable will to win
2. Discipline no matter what system
3. Emotional regulation/control
“I think the main thing is you have to be disciplined, you have to be unemotional and to me the really great one’s you have to have courage and be able to play big when the opportunity is there”

People were saying “everything is high risk if you’re a pussy” then the market liquidated everyone with an ounce of leverage

People that mourn mistakes simply don’t believe in themselves. Everyone that wants to make it in 1 month is really saying “I need to get very lucky because I do not believe I am equipped to make it in a sustainable way over the next 5-10 years”. Those people would be much better off studying, trying again, failing, learning, etc until they do believe in themselves. And then it doesn’t matter.

The greatest skill a trader needs to conquer is the ability to override and execute during market flushes.
To understand that temporary uPnL is fake and that you the moment you feel it's over is the moment that the best opportunities appear.

There’s always a “new meta” waiting to emerge after bear because the desire to make it all back is always present. Every meta or a token or a narrative is just the vehicle.

Just did a deep dive into creator fees and comparing earnings from a few recent entrants vs. the Bagwork guys and it's clear to me that the main winner here is $PUMP itself.
Fee structure is designed to pay out significantly upfront (in low mcap ranges, say 0-10m) to incentivize streamers to switch to pump and hook them. Then after around 20m earnings from fees remains static.
That's how someone like @BunnyFuFuu can earn ~$165k in less than 24 hours while the Bagwork guys have earned ~$160k total since they launched days ago. His coin did most of that volume in 2-5m mcap range.
If you're trading the individual streamer coins, watch out for people artificially holding mcap at low ranges to rake in more fees.
Regardless, this is going to create a black hole pulling in every streamer to capture that initial attention wave and earn their share early on. More fees globally means more buybacks for $PUMP.

Pump fun a classic example of why price drives narrative and not other way around
The exact same talking points are being used during this rally as were on launch except now because price is going up everyone believes it
