Some people build Tools, some people build Outcomes. I think you should have both for sustainability.
Let me explain.
Tool:
Postiz, at its core, is a social media scheduling tool.
You have the infrastructure to schedule posts to 30+ platforms.
--
Outcome:
You can schedule posts automatically to TikTok with a SKILL that gets millions of views (take the Larry Skill)
So the outcome right now is very strong; it's the biggest Postiz seller in the agentic world.
But outcomes are usually growth hacks, and growth hacks don't last long, once people do them, many other will copy until it's not effective.
--
What if we finally get some virtual reality as a social media?
It's very easy to pivot the tool; it's very hard to pivot the outcome. Because it's not only a new product. It's a completely new marketing message.
So build a tool, create outcomes, and sell the outcome because it's much, much easier to sell.
And then every few years, pivot the outcome for new things you find in the market.
--
Example from Postiz after I built its core:
1. N8N - created a node, and marketed it hard with specific templates
2. MCP - you might think that MCP belongs to the agentic area, but they are not; I built it about 1 year before that (it was hyped)
3. OpenClaw - made it ready for it
4. All other agents - made it ready for them
And soon, it will probably be ready for the next growth hack/hype.
And yes, need to keep my ears open all the time, and doomscroll X, nothing around it.

if you have an idea for a product you want to build
don't build it yet
there's something really easy you can do to see if it's even worth building
1) make a landing page with product mocks ups
2) vibe code a checkout page that doesn't work, literally don't let them add a credit card but track how many tried to click the credit card input field
3) setup a campaign on Meta or TikTok for $100/day
run it for a few days and see if anyone tried to "buy"
if it worked, congrats, go build whatever it was you're trying to sell
this is even more important for physical products that will cost you money to make

founders often underestimate the importance of taking care of their body
lift weights, do cardio (both low and high intensity), eat plenty of protein and vegetables, drink water every 30 min
you can't have a sharp mind in a broken body
