This government has closed all doors for domestic investors. Introduced LTCG, STT and then increased both in last budget for domestic equity This 7 billion dollar limit by RBI is too less. So all mutual funds subscriptions are almost closed for international investing.Yes when can invest through GIFT in few mutual funds, but minimum amount is 5000 dollars Taxing dividends on slab basis which are out of tax paid income Taxing debt on slab basis which killed the debt funds industry Removing 80C benefits and killed ELSS Giving tax free FD returns to NRI, who got leverage from banks and are now earning CAGR in double digits. They shifted all money from equity to FD causing more outflows from equity So they are in a way forcing investors for bank deposits. Bank lobby is too strong . This second citizen treatment to domestic investors is uncalled for @nsitharaman @narendramodi
