I spent 40+ hours researching everything Patrick Campbell (@Patticus founded & sold Profitwell for 200M+) ever published on SaaS Pricing.
Here are 5 insights to nail your SaaS pricing:š
Looking for brutally honest feedback on whether I improved our homepage or made it worse š
A bit of context:
We donāt have enough traffic to make quantitative decisions in terms of CRO, so Iād need some marketer-gut feeling here.
The goal is to decide which site to go with before pouring money into a paid ads experiment.
Current Site: reactsquad.io/
Improved (?) Site: reactsquad.webflow.io/reactsā¦
Which one would you find "better" assuming you'd be looking for engineers for a project?

I tested 4 of the most popular API clients.
Hereās what I learned:
Postman ā feature-rich but heavy, best for enterprises.
Bruno ā Git-native, offline-first, OSS fans will love it.
Insomnia ā clean, lightweight, plugin-friendly.
Requestly ā elite mocking/interception, unblocks frontend teams fast.

Reminder to myself:
Don't open Twitter & LinkedIn today so that I don't have to read one cringy April fools after another.
Two weeks ago, @randfish shared a video that broke my brain š¤Æ
His claim: Traffic is a vanity metric in 2025. The new go-to KPI: Impressions. Letās dig into this:
Back in 2015, while running his previous SaaS, Rand's top-of-funnel KPI was website traffic.
Their funnel looked roughly like this:
šµ Website Traffic ā Email Captures (Newsletter/Whitepaper) ā Sales
Fast forward to today, and his primary focus has nothing to do with traffic anymore. Now, it's all about impressions.
The 2025 funnel:
š£ Impressions & Views on Social ā Branded Search & Direct Visits ā Sales
Hereās how Rand explains it:
"Do our messages reach the people we want to reach, in the places they pay attention? The only way to measure that is with impressions, views, and engagements across LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, etc."
His mid-funnel KPI? Branded search & direct traffic.
Because we all know how it works:
People see your content on LinkedIn, Twitter, or Threads, but they donāt click immediately. Instead, they come back days (or even weeks) later.
And when they search for your brand by name, thatās when youāve won. š
LinkedIn just banned Apollo (the data provider) for breaking their TOS.
So...is Apollo toast now that one of their main data sources is gone?
Does anyone here know a SaaS founder that automated customer support 100% through AI?
Would love to learn what the actual limits of current AI is
How early on should you decide on a single use case for your product?
We have a clear ICP, but I can't decide if we should
a) Position ourselves solely as a tool employee advocacy on LinkedIn
b) Position ourselves solely as a tool for founder-led marketing on LinkedIn
c) say we do both
We are currently implementing the billing for our new SaaS and I can't decide if we should go with a 7-day trial or 14-day trial...
What should you offer when you initially launch your SaaS?š¤
Ok, who can school me on something...
I see a ton of SEOs posting stats like the one below recently.
And everytime I ask via comment if SEO is still a good idea for a scrappy, bootstrapped startup, the answer is basically:
"Yeah, SEO IS A MUST!"
So, are all of those stats BS?
Is the downward trend of SEO just clickbait?
Or are marketers who did SEO in the past just stuck in the mindset that everyone needs to do SEO?
After 5 years of running my agency ReactSquad, Iāve decided to step down as CEO and pass the baton.
Over the years, the ReactSquad team helped dozens of SaaS companies scale to $1M ARR and beyond.
Now, itās time for me to chase the next challenge:
Building a SaaS startup from zero to $1M ARR myself.
Iām excited to introduce @janhesters as ReactSquadās new leader. š
His mission is clear:
Make ReactSquad the # 1 supplier of senior React talent in the B2B SaaS industry.
If you want to hire senior React developers to scale your SaaS, just connect with Jan via DM now.
I'm finally restarting my podcastš
Who here just reached 10k MRR with his SaaS and is open to sharing the marketing tactics he used to get there?
To everyone who thinks you can copy/paste any product within a week using AI?
Did you ever build something?š¤
Just changed my title to CEO SocialKit in all the communities I am in.
My "old" business ReactSquad.io is in the best hands there can be -> @janhesters
Question to the SaaS founders:
How focused is too focused in terms of marketing channels early on?
Is it a valid strategy to pick a single channel and completely ignore everything else until one hits 10K MRR?
(For me this one channel would likely be LinkedIn organic)
Constant reminder I need for myself:
Do the basics. Again. And again.
Do fewer things better.
... I think I need to get a tattoo of this at some pointš
One of my biggest regrets as a founder is giving up on building my personal brand in 2017.
Eight years ago, my co-founder @janhesters and I incorporated our first startup.
To capture the moment, we decided to record a vlog. It felt like the start of something big.
But we only filmed two more videos before I gave up.
What held me back was the feeling that I didnāt have the authority to say anything.
Who was I, a 20-something-year-old with nothing to his name yet, to spout opinions?
For years, I looked back and thought, "I shouldāve kept going in 2017. I wasted that opportunity. Now itās too late."
And thatās exactly where I went wrong.
If you ask around, people will say, āPersonal branding is over. Shouldāve started years ago.ā
But as a founder, think about the CEOs you know.
How many are taking personal branding as seriously as the rest of their job?
Most are doing nothingāor just phoning it in.
That tells me itās still earlyāeven though it feels late.
In 5 minutes I'm going to be testing the alpha-version of my new SaaS startup for the first time.
I guess that's an experience only non-technical founders can relate to but damn I am either way to hyped or the three coffees I had are doing their jobš
If you had to (live or death) bring a bootstrapped SaaS to 25k MRR within 12 months, how would you all approach this?
Here's the SaaS I need to grow:
