The biggest players in AI are pouring billions into chips, data centres and compute. But I think they’re overlooking something critical: blockchain’s role in the AI economy. Compute is emerging as an asset class, and the convergence of AI, blockchain and finance could change everything. Discussed this with the brilliant @michaelh_0g at @token2049. Here’s a glimpse of our conversation 👇

TOKEN2049: Wall Street meets degen festival. Takeaways: 1. Gotta love the contrast 😂 You had Nasdaq, Franklin Templeton and BlackRock discussing the future of finance. Meanwhile, crypto companies were handing out condoms as merch, and women were selling advertising space on their bodies. 2. Conferences within the conference. Where do you go? Foot traffic felt lighter than the last 2 years, and there seemed to be fewer side events across the city. With Dubai not going ahead, I’d expected a busier Singapore. But inside Marina Bay Sands, there was still so much happening: main stages, smaller rooms, other events within the conference. Deciding where to be felt overwhelming 😬 3. Different cities, different opportunities. In the US two weeks earlier, I kept hearing: “Singapore is too far. Everything we need is happening here.” But Singapore brings together a different crowd and energy. Good to expand your network in Asia and understand the market, TOKEN2049 announced its next edition in New York, and I’m super excited about that one because If you're building in crypto, AI or disruptive tech, the US is where the capital is concentrated. According to Galaxy Research, 74% of global crypto venture funding went to US HQ’d companies in Q2 2026. The stats speak for themselves. 4. Showing up year after year says something. The exhibition floor was dominated by Infrastructure companies, payment rails, cybersecurity, stablecoins and tokenization - and almost everything had an AI angle (rightfully so). But showing up costs money. It’s an interesting signal of which companies have the resources to invest in visibility, and where the industry’s picks and shovels might be. Proud that Luna PR has been involved in TOKEN2049 since 2018 as a sponsor. We’re here for the long run 🥇 5. Compute is emerging as an asset class. There seemed to be growing agreement that compute deserves to be treated as an asset in its own right. If it powers the AI economy, how do we price it, finance it and trade access to it? It was an honor to explore this on stage with @michaelh_0g through his Compute Finance thesis. 6. The UAE made its mark. The UAE was the only overseas ecosystem with a dedicated pavilion at TOKEN2049. Being HQ’d in Dubai, it made me proud. Conclusion: sleep deprived and mentally overstimulated, but was a great week: an insane speaker lineup, super organized, and plenty of valuable conversations. Can’t wait for New York! 🇺🇸

Dubai was popping this week! Events packed, people flying in, capital flowing, and the energy was back. My panel at AIM Congress was on how AI is changing finance and how we regulate something that is moving this quickly. At the same time, DIFC is working towards becoming the world’s first AI-native financial centre. And that’s exactly what I love about this place - they walk the walk. The UAE has been incredibly kind to me. It’s given me opportunities and a place to build a business I’m very proud of ❤️ Next stop: New York and Singapore for Token2049

🗳️ CLARITY just failed cloture, [YEA–NAY]. Here's what that actually means, because most of the replies are about to get it wrong. The bill isn't dead. A failed cloture vote leaves it on the calendar, and Thune can move to reconsider and re-run it the day 60 votes exist. GENIUS did exactly this last year: failed cloture 48-49 on May 8, passed 66-32 on May 19, signed in July. Eleven days. What's dead is the calendar. The Senate leaves town October 1, so about eleven working days, most of them eaten by the September 30 funding deadline. The House already took the rest of September off and isn't back until after the election. And Republicans rejected the Democrats' counteroffer this morning, so unlike GENIUS there's no deal sitting in the drawer to redo the vote on. That leaves two windows. A second try before Oct 1 if somebody blinks on ethics this week. Or the lame duck in November/December, where it needs cloture again, final passage, the House, and a signature before January 3. Miss that and it restarts from zero in 2027 with a House that's probably Democratic. Bitcoin priced all of this a week ago. The odds of the bill becoming law went 13% → 34% → 13% and BTC never left its box. Fed at 2pm tomorrow ⏳ That's the one this market has been waiting on all week.

Amodei says safety and regulation need to keep pace. I’d add media to that list. If we’re shaping how the world understands AI, then we have a responsibility to educate ourselves, challenge the hype and explain what’s actually being built.

I asked claude to name some of the top marketers in Web3, here’s who came up @RachelConlan Global CMO, Binance @mayurgupta77 CMO, Kraken @kate_rouch CMO, OpenAI; ex-Coinbase @vibhu CPO, Solana Foundation @TySmithHQ founder & CEO, Coinbound @nikichain founder, Luna PR @leonabboud founder-led content specialist @amandacassatt former ConsenSys CMO, founder of @serotonin_hq + author of web3 Marketing what surprised me that a lot of amazing web3 marketers didn’t show up in ai search at all that might be a bigger problem than it sounds incase you're looking for your next role, you must know that recruiters are already using AI tools like @juicebox_work to find candidates if you don't exist in the model's training or citations, you don't exist to the recruiter, time to start optimizing for ai search

Grateful to have been invited to speak at @BitcoinForCorps at The Bitcoin Conference, Hong Kong. A few takeaways: - @cz_binance talked $1M Bitcoin and a future where AI agents transact autonomously using stablecoins. - Institutions have moved on from “should we buy Bitcoin?” to “what can we actually do with it?” - RWA tokenization is growing up. Less buzzword, more infrastructure. - Quantum has gone from “one day” to “we should probably talk about this now.” - And then there’s Bitcoin’s first “hashrate bear market” called out by @RaphaZagury. Bitcoin’s price may be holding up, but the economics for miners are getting tough. At the same time, the same power, data centers and capital that can support mining are increasingly being pulled toward AI and high-performance computing, where the economics can look more attractive. So even Bitcoin miners are having an AI moment. Basically, AI, quantum, institutional capital, RWA/tokenization, stablecoins and energy/compute dominated the conversation. Anything else? Good luck getting anyone’s attention. My biggest takeaway from a PR perspective the stories getting attention are where digital assets collide with AI, finance, energy and deeptech.

We’ve spent the last few years obsessing over AI taking our jobs, meanwhile quantum has been quietly sitting in the corner potentially preparing to break much of the public-key cryptography we rely on today - across financial systems, digital assets and critical infrastructure! And my favourite slightly terrifying fact: bad actors can steal encrypted data today, store it, and wait for quantum computers to become powerful enough to decrypt it later. There’s actually a term for this: “harvest now, decrypt later.” 😅 Really enjoyed sitting down with the Naoris team, David Holtzman and Youssef El Maddarsi, and going down the quantum rabbit hole. Do you think we’re ready for it? 👀

Stablecoins have become one of the biggest shifts in global finance. What started as a crypto experiment is now being embraced by major institutions, from on-chain markets to blockchain-based settlement. But as stablecoins go mainstream, the real questions begin. Who builds the infrastructure? Which networks capture the liquidity? Can stablecoins create a more open financial system? And what happens as banks, businesses, and governments accelerate adoption? These are the questions we'll be exploring live. Join us for #LunaTalks Ep 6, live on X Spaces, featuring: ▪ Wook Lee (@wooklee91000), CEO of @Edenaofficial ▪ Samy Tzaprenko (@stableoperator), CEO & Co-Founder of @eliospay ▪ Parth Kapadia (@parthovppx), Co-Founder of @OpenVPP ▪ Bobby Gray, CEO of @TEXITcoin 🎙️ Moderated by Sebastien Marque, VP of Strategy at Luna PR 🗓️ July 15 🕕 10:00 AM EST 📍 xitter.cf/i/spaces/1pKdRRwjLgaJW…

Trust is becoming AI’s most valuable currency. Had the pleasure of speaking at Agentic Day Miami, where we discussed why trust (aside the tech) will shape the next generation of AI companies, particularly in agentic commerce. AI is making it easier than ever to build products. It’s not making it any easier to earn trust. That’s why I believe public relations, personal branding and executive positioning are becoming more important than ever. In a world where anyone can build, the companies that win will be the ones people believe!
