Get a load of this government overreach. This is taking the piss if ever I’ve seen it. The government is excluding themselves from their own misinformation laws. Along with their mates in the media, who of course will aid and abet any propaganda the government wishes to push. Furthermore this paragraph will force us to comply with the voluntary code even though we haven’t signed it. A classic piece of double speak if ever I’ve seen it. “The ACMA powers will strengthen and support the existing voluntary framework established by the Australian Code of Practice on Disinformation and Misinformation (the voluntary code), and will extend to non-signatories of the voluntary code.” infrastructure.gov.au/have-y… #auspol
