Really pleased to announce that @SadiqKhan has approved funding for Islington Council to buy back 80 former council homes, including 20 family-sized homes for Afghan refugees.
This is the first funding deal agreed under @MayorofLondon’s new Right to Buy Back Fund.
🏠80 homes in Islington back in council ownership
🏡20 of the homes will be family-sized and earmarked for Afghan refugees
This is what a Labour Council and a Labour Mayor of London can do.
