This obsession with ‘working hard’ and ‘hard working families’ is depressingly Victorian. We live in an age of machines that can do all that stuff for us. People should be having more diverse and more fulfilled lives, not grinding away until they die.

It's not just a general election we need. It's a complete democratic makeover. It should begin with getting the money out of politics, and full financial transparency for everyone in public life.

Britain now faces a clear and unavoidable choice - stability and strong Government with Labour, or yet more chaos with the Tories. #LizTruss #ToryShambles #GeneralElectionNow

We need a General Election or a mass protest on Downing Street and across the country. It’s time.

People do not understand that we are about to lose far more than any painting. Listen to the words of Sir David Attenborough. We are on course for the collapse of the liveable world. It is a nightmare that people can’t see this after 35 years of constant warnings #VanGogh

Dear @trussliz / @RishiSunak the cost of living crisis has left millions worried how they'll make ends meet. I'd like to formally invite you, as the new PM, to join me asap once you take office for a special hour's @itvMLshow discussion/Q&A to answer/ease people's concerns.

I’m glad the grownups are still in charge across the channel
Here's exactly what Macron just said replying to the Truss "friend or foe" comment (my Eng subtitles 👇) (although I think his silence and look when asked the question says it all 😀👇)

Twitter is full of straw-man arguments that enrage and divide us. Luckily, scientists have just discovered a groundbreaking cure! 👇

I ran a busy east London pub, we had 7 largers on tap. One weekend after a supplier error all we had was Heineken so I just connected all 7 lines to it and didn't tell anyone. No one noticed. Don't let anyone tell you one larger's noticeably better than another. It's all piss.

I made this to try to illustrate how recent "ancient history" actually is. Human history as an 800-page book, with each page covering 250 years. Recorded history is just the last row!

1/10 9 years of strict regime. My space flight is taking a bit longer than expected - the ship is caught in a time loop. It occurred to me that my role in this saga is similar to that guy from Interstellar.

The clever people at @NASA have created this deceptively simple yet highly effective data visualisation showing monthly global temperatures between 1880-2021. Watch until the end... Learn more here - svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/4975 #ClimateEmergency #ClimateCrisis #climate

Just a quick constitutional reminder for the BBC’s 100th anniversary: it belongs to the people of the UK. It doesn’t belong to the government. And, contrary to what the current Culture Secretary seems to think, it isn’t state-funded.
