So this was kinda fun: Just used mitmproxy as a "proof-this-thing-we-wrote-actually-works" to validate that proxies work with our patch of the rugged gem:
talk.manageiq.org/t/ui-hangs…
Pretty interesting looking at the response body from a `git fetch`. Explains a lot.
As if to pretend I am living a vacuum when posting on this account... today I learned this is a thing:
$ ruby -run -ehelp
$ ruby -run -ehttpd -p 8080 .
Welp, twitter is going to shorten this link:
git.io/soonRubyMN-20200224
But if you want to try it out, you can do:
$ ruby -ropen-uri -e "eval open('URL_ABOVE').read"
... or you could just come to the talk I am giving tonight:
meetup.com/ruby-mn/events/tb…
This "monster" ( @Fryguy9 ) doesn't know what is good for him...
github.com/ManageIQ/more_cor…
Now you too can have "Jason" in all of your projects:
github.com/ManageIQ/more_cor…
TIL: If using `ruby-install`, you probably should do:
$ brew pin readline
Otherwise you will brick ruby installs every so often...
So, I think the important question of the day is: Are the emojis in GitHub going to change over to "Microsoft Style" from "Apple Style"?
When you do:
$ vim vim [file_i_actually_want_to_edit]
And wonder "Hey! What happened to my file!". Then you realize you are just an idiot...
The reviews are in! See what the critics are saying!

Here is the ruby memory leak we found: bugs.ruby-lang.org/issues/14…
tl;dr Pathname objects in $LOAD_PATH cause require to leak on 2.3/2.4
Today I learned that my email notifications for Twitter weren't working.
Aside: Sorry for the delayed "likes".
PSA: The biggest and most culturally accepted yearly LARP is happening today. What a bunch of nerds...
If you use vim and are, like myself, utterly terribly at your native language, English, this might be useful: github.com/NickLaMuro/dotfil…
