Love this finding! ❤️📈
Among SMBs on @airwallex (reminder we cover markets around the world not just US) those paying for AI tools in Q3'25 grew processed volume 54% over the next year.
Non-adopters: 29%. They also trade with 2.7x more countries (8 vs 3).
Correlation, not causation. But AI may turn out to be a growth story, not just a cost story.

I’m a founder. I like to focus on engineering and building rather than responding to false allegations. But there is so much here that I had to say something.
I was born in China, and I am a proud Australian citizen who immigrated there as a teenager. Australia gave me the freedom and opportunity to build this company. The United States represents that same promise more powerfully than anywhere else on earth.
Having employees in China is not, by itself, a security issue. The question is how customer data is protected. Joe knows that many of the world’s largest payments, banking and technology companies have employees and operations in China. What matters is the architecture, controls and safeguards governing access to data.
Our controls have been independently assessed, and our product and security teams include veterans of Palantir and the Australian Defence Force. These allegations did not originate with a security breach or regulatory finding. They originated with investors in Ramp, our direct competitor.
We have written to the Congressman and look forward to answering his questions. You can read the correspondence here:
Important work by the House China Committee: Airwallex has founders with ties to China, 712 employees there, and Chinese laws that require the company to help CCP intel gathering on demand.
If you use Rippling, Deel, Brex, Navan, or Zip, it’s worth asking them if your US or intl payments run through Airwallex.
If so, there’s NO protection if the CCP decides they want to take a look.
I've got my own personal little window into F1 - my cousin Barry is pit crew for @AMR_Official (he was previously @redbullracing). The need for a culture which sustains through stress and powers achievement 100% checks out, and I believe we're building that at @airwallex too. Our last staff engagement survey showed great results. DMs open if you're a designer in SF, SIN, SYD, MEL, LDN!

NEW: Airwallex found a niche helping global businesses with cross-border payments. Now its CEO Jack Zhang is a billionaire, and he wants to take on Stripe and Ramp: forbes.com/sites/jeffkauflin…
Airwallex unifies the entire lifecycle of money. @awxjack has taken the path of max resistance over the past 10 years, putting boots on the ground in all jurisdictions to create a financeOS which powers modern business. My design teams are in daily loops with regulators in our new markets, creating bespoke experiences around particular constraints. Its not one-size-fits-all. It's painstaking and detailed. But it's removing the invisible tax on ambition that founders have paid for far too long. The last decade was building the financial rails for a new era, now we're building what runs on top.

The companies that will win the next decade are operating globally from day one. @Airwallex Billing powers your revenue engine on a single stack that adapts as your business grows 🌎.
👉If you're an AI, infrastructure, or API-driven company, Airwallex Billing handles usage-based billing and real-time metering, so every token, call, and outcome is captured the moment it happens.
👉If you're a SaaS, streaming, or entertainment business, it runs subscriptions and renewals automatically in the background.
👉If your revenue still moves on invoices, like an agency or law practice, it generates and delivers them in the formats your customers expect.

Most fintech companies started in the world's biggest markets and expanded outward.
Most were built in Silicon Valley, with Silicon Valley assumptions.
We started on the other side of the world, in a Melbourne coffee shop.
Outsiders, by every measure.
So we went deeper than anyone wanted to. Reimagining correspondent banking from first principles, not abstracting away the old system but replacing it.
Years of obtaining licenses, building infrastructure, and shipping every financial product a growing business needs including intelligent finance.
Bank accounts in 70+ countries. Treasury across 25+ currencies. Cards, spend management, bill pay, multi-entity, all on one platform.
Built so the whole world feels like your home market.
Now AI means the builders are everywhere.
Global financial infrastructure has always been the hard part.
Ours took eleven years to build, and it's ready for you on day one.

great 2 weeks to be an Australian if you use Claude Code 😂
Replying to @claudeai
How it works:
- 2x usage on weekdays outside 5–11am PT / 12–6pm GMT
- 2x usage all day on weekends
- Automatic, nothing to enable
Not to disparage Reuters - but if you worked in the music industry in London in the 00s you’ll probably have known Banksy as Robin all along. He did artwork for our CND events and even dropped in one afternoon to stencil the toilet wall. reuters.com/investigates/spe…
"Legacy bankiing wasn't meant for global businesses." 👏
We saved our customers over $1.3 Billion in 2025 alone.
That value has helped @Airwallex reach $1.2 Billion in ARR, growing 85% YoY.
@Deel, @McLarenF1 , @boltapp and 200,000+ other customers trust us because legacy banking wasn't meant for global businesses:
• Opening a bank account in a new country takes weeks
• SWIFT transfers take 3-5 days
• Other platforms convert your money even when you don't want to
But with Airwallex you can:
1. Open an account and get paid like a local in 70 countries
Most platforms force you to convert your money into your currency and charge you a conversion fee to do it.
With Airwallex, your UK client pays you in GBP and it sits in your GBP balance.
Your Australian client pays in AUD and it sits in your AUD balance.
When you need to pay a UK vendor or run Australian payroll, you can simply pay from the same currency in your Airwallex account which leads to zero conversion fees.
2. Send and receive money on the same day
SWIFT takes 3–5 days and hits you with unpredictable fees on every transfer.
But over 90% of Airwallex transactions happen on the same day.
Since Airwallex uses local rails to move your money, it also happens at near-zero cost.
3. Issue multi-currency cards instantly
Airwallex helps you issue multi-currency cards to your employees across the entire world.
And every transaction is automatically synced to your accounting system in real-time.
4. Integrate Airwallex in your product
SaaS platforms and marketplaces can also use our APIs to offer these financial services to their customers.
In fact, many companies are doing it already.
But this is just a glimpse of what Airwallex can do. We’re building the all-in-one financial stack your company will ever need.
If you're doing $50M+ in revenue, you could save up to $500k in fees.
And that's money back into your business.

An incredible story of determination, resilience, vision and growth of many varieties. Congratulations Jack and team.
The ONLY other person I’ve ever met that totally shared this opinion and made it known at any and every opportunity was Fabric owner Keith Reilly.
This quoted post is unavailable.
Was very, very close to becoming the site of Fabric but Keith couldn’t get it in the end.
