Back in 2018 I made a fanmix of The Beach Boys' SMILE called the "Pocket Symphony Mix." Sadly, Youtube took it down, but I'm finally able to reshare it: youtube.com/watch?v=kFX7KdDB…
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Animated teaser for new pre-school series I'm developing, FIREFLIES. For the first time, new tools and workflows and models like Kling/Veo/Nano Banana have made feature animation quality possible on a limited series budget. How-to video coming soon!

THE LIGHT WITHIN
A concept trailer powered by Nano Banana Pro 🍌
I haven’t been impressed by new AI tools lately but this one swept me off my feet.
The kicker?
I used Google Flow and a few wild tricks to get perfect consistency.
Here's a step-by-step full breakdown 🧵

The real tell? A rhetorical question that’s then answered.

The emdash isn’t even the biggest AI tell. Not even close. It’s this peculiar structure:
This isn’t just <x mundane phrasing >. It’s <y more hyperbolic phrasing>.
This misconception isn’t just an attack on the emdash. It’s an assault on our right to punctuate freely.
This week's New Yorker piece about Aphantasia is by far the most accurate account of what it's like, as one of many ways people can experience the world (albeit I identify with people quoted who don't think much about things that aren't in front of me ha). newyorker.com/magazine/2025/…
Annnnnnnd here it is without a paywall but please support the New Yorker's good journalism and fiction if you can! archive.ph/YNtQV
So excited for the world to see ALL HEART. There's a pervasive narrative out there that generative tech can't be used to make anything emotional / human. I think this film puts that pretty much to bed. animationmagazine.net/2025/1…
favorite thing I've discovered google's nano banana can do: convert QR codes to other things that still work. (prompt: "Make this QR code out of legos and make sure it still works as a qr code")

AI filmmaking and storytelling is punk rock. It’s hip hop. It’s counterculture. It’s a new type of creativity. It’s a new medium. It’s hated by the mainstream film and art establishment. It resists ideology. It ignores gate keeping. It’s uncomfortable. It’s scary. It’s viral. It’s accessible. It’s refreshing. It’s welcoming. It’s here.

Here's an even better result. @moonvalley
First test with Marey by @moonvalley, a brand new ethically sourced AI video model from Asteria Film Co!
There's a ton of features here, including one very exciting one: Recamming existing videos w/3D control!
Have you tried it? LMK what you think. 👇
"We put 100 BABIES in JAIL - You won't BELIEVE what happened!" (aka BABY JAIL, episode 1)
I've been trying to make this series for years, going back to when I used to run a family-friendly vine account when my kids were babies themselves. But it was too expensive/ridiculous to do traditionally, OBVIOUSLY ("Never work with children or animals").
But now I'm finally able to make it entirely myself with Moonvalley's Marey, our model trained exclusively on licensed data instead of stealing everything on the internet (what a crazy idea, lol).
Please enjoy with your children and/or babies... so long as they're not BAD BABIES, or they're going to JAILLLLL!
BABY JAIL - Episode 1 is on youtube! I've been trying to make this for years, going back to when I used to run a family-friendly vine account when my son was a baby. Made entirely with Moonvalley's Marey, a model trained exclusively on licensed data. youtube.com/watch?v=lNrh_1XL…
Finally able to share CATURDAY, a short film I made a few months ago. For anyone who watched my vines, this is very on brand lol. (No pets were harmed in the making of this movie.)
