I've started calling it Work Life Ambition.
The idea that you can be ambitious in both your work and your personal life.
They can support and augment each other, rather than one coming at the expense of the other.

We want to build quality. I don’t believe it comes from endless death march. So people should have some time off as well.
I don’t think it has slowed us down, probably the opposite (you can look at the changelog the past 5years). Good tech, hiring well, small teams and not changing the direction every 5mins also helps.
Remote advantage is that also focuses people on the output, not hanging at the office late or going to motions that don’t produce much.

Incredibly emotional watching this because I’m painfully aware that “the good old days” are right now.
At 42 I have a perfectly imperfect life with a wonderful wife and two great kids. I don’t long for my younger years. I want to freeze time right now.

This is a better way to visualize Columbus’ voyages than the traditional way (that shows him traveling through a modern map)..
It looks a lot crazier and more daring when you see it as a trip into the unknown.
Anything with a memory chip is going to get more expensive. Kindle prices just went way up.

We have one of the very first Airforms at home, fun to see them in the WSJ. Go Josh and team!
Thanks for the feature @WSJ! The team is working very hard to make more Airforms right now here in Kailua, Hawaii. You can check out more here at airform.space. They are now delivering in Hawaii and California.
I also found that having kids made me more ambitious, partly because my identity was less tightly tied to the business.
It seems that my own experience aligns with the data: being a father correlated with me a being a more successful entrepreneur.
Buffer had started to decline prior to our first kid being born, and was at it's bottom by the time the second arrived.
I can wholeheartedly say that having kids gave me a whole new level of ambition, and also made me have much greater conviction about working through obstacles to turn Buffer around.
Raising kids alongside turning Buffer around has simultaneously been the most fulfilling and most challenging chapter of my life. I hit a patch of depression within this phase too which I've recently emerged from.
