Next Spaceflight — clean app for tracking launches.
apps.apple.com/us/app/next-s…
Starship Flight 7 + New Glenn upcoming!
@nextspaceflight
I love the Flighty app. One of the most beautiful, well executed apps. But I use it so rarely that it's not worth the subscription of £50/year... but entering flights manually is kind of too much hassle too in the free mode.
I think people like me would pay £20/year for less than 20 flights. @Flighty

Daily Art — great art widget
apps.apple.com/us/app/dailya…
A well made app with a super cute logo and great widgets — making this one of Apple's app winners of the year (Cultural).
It's ad supported though which is sort of annoying —£30 a year to unlock premium is a bit much for me...
@DailyArtApp
Idk why this is not on my list yet — it's been on my phone for a year!

And the Oscar goes to… It’s official!🤩 DailyArt App won the 2024 #AppStoreAward in the Cultural Impact category! 😱
📣“By connecting users to exceptional artwork across centuries and movements, DailyArt fuels the intellectual curiosity and wonder of users.” @AppStore 🥰

Check out Lumy on the iPhone too — it made my list a while ago now...

iPhone App of the Year!
Kino is Apple’s iPhone App of the Year in this year’s App Store Awards. We are absolutely blown away — thank you to all who helped and supported us in making our cinematic video camera a reality. lux.camera/kino-is-iphone-ap…
Toilet Finder — worldwide toilets
apps.apple.com/us/app/toilet…
It's useful with a clean UI, and has more toilets than Google Maps in my location atm. The only downside is it could do with SI units and a dark theme.
He's right — it's surprisingly good.

Joi Planner is available on the App Store. Enjoy!

Joi Planner — aesthetic calendar/planner/habit tracker
apps.apple.com/us/app/joi-pl…
Cute new calendar app. I think the combo of habits and calendar work well. Great attention to detail in the app...
It's free for the basic features, £40/year for things like reminders, notifications, etc.
@sekachov @joisoftware
I'm taking Airalo off the list after some I bought an eSIM which didn't work and they had bad support. Basically just told me it's not their problem...
After doing more research, if you want an eSIM, look up the offerings here:
esimdb.com/
They are cheaper than Airalo generally, but even better is just buying a local SIM after arriving in a new country. I know in the future Apple might get rid of the physical SIM slot, but until then, local SIMs are not so difficult to buy and definitely the cheapest option.

Yuka — check food quality
apps.apple.com/us/app/yuka-f…
Super easy to use, free app for checking quality of ingredients, but it's US centric. Not sure if it works in other countries, probably western ones — let me know.
The only product I could lookup in here in Ecuador was some European olive oil, but I plan on using it a lot when I'm back in Europe if possible.

Slidebox — a good app for sorting your photos into albums if you don't mind paying £20 for it...
