I had dinner with a friend from Germany tonight and asked why the AfD is so successful.
He told me about a 55-year-old German woman who lost her sight. Her disability allowance application was rejected, so she now has to work in a call center.
At the same time, a story went viral in Germany about a Syrian man with several wives and countless "children" pocketing €100k in welfare benefits, despite polygamy being illegal in Germany. €100k plus free rent and free healthcare, paid from the taxes of the blind woman working in the call center.

Yesterday In Birkenfeld, a small town in western Germany, 28 people from 12 different nations, of African and Arab descent were recently naturalized. It was "celebrated" by the clerk in charge.
They receive full rights to welfare and social security, and their votes carry the same weight.
This is happening every day, all across Germany.

🇬🇧 A large dinghy with an estimated 140+ illegal migrants reached the Hampshire coast.
The French coastguard tracked an overcrowded “mega-dinghy” that left near Cherbourg.
Authorities say up to 140 were on board. At least 30 people were thrown into the sea on the way because the boat was packed.
Around 500 demonstrators gathered at Eastney. They blocked Fort Cumberland Road, the only major access road to the marina where the coaches were waiting.
Scuffles broke out as the crowd tried to stop the coaches leaving. Hampshire Police used riot shields and pepper spray after the lines were briefly broken.

Brexit was a whole decade ago and immigration has been the number one issue in the UK for even longer than that.
Several governments have come and gone since then, and despite the popular will being against more mass migration, it hasn't stopped.
What is the recourse if repeated voting fails? What if the democratic will of the public is repeatedly rejected?
It is the EU that is destroying our nations. This idiocy of needing to defend our borders against attack. The bloody EU is shipping in the invaders daily by the boatload. We need to dump the Brussels entity and restore our own nations with border checks and strong militaries.
Many Europeans are under the delusion that if the EU was dismantled somehow that would lead to a golden age of power and prosperity for their countries.
That would never happen. The end of the EU would be the end of its countries.
The world European nations once conquered is gone. Now, they would be the conquered.

Being told you must accept unlimited immigration or face national decline is a false choice.
There is a third option: accept that the country may become smaller, and decide that remaining itself is still preferable.

On te demande un compte, un mail, un numéro de téléphone, parfois même une validation par SMS… pour des trucs qui prenaient 30 secondes avant.
J’ai pas envie d’avoir quinze applications pour simplement exister dehors.
J’ai pas envie de laisser mes données à chaque commerce ou service.
Je veux juste pouvoir vivre dans le monde réel sans qu’on me mette une laisse numérique à chaque coin de rue.
