The Insider is a film I’m again imploring you to watch if you haven’t yet. This film should be a household title for everyone my generation and younger: it’s relevant, incredibly well-made, and the perfect demonstration of Michael Mann’s brilliance. I will write about this movie for eternity.

Alejandro Iñárritu’s Babel is a stunning film & another example of how Iñárritu has spent his life taking risks. You think Digger was a big swing? You think Digger took risks? Try Babel on for size. Babel finished off what many refer to as Iñárritu’s Trilogy of Death, consisting of Babel, Amores Perros, and 21 Grams. Iñárritu has been real from the jump.

Sicario 3 is officially moving forward with original stars Emily Blunt, Benicio del Toro, and Josh Brolin all set to return & while I expressed some skepticism yesterday over a 3rd Sicario given Taylor Sheridan is not involved, I’m excited to see Benicio del Toro return to this world & this character. Del Toro is unlike any other actor I’ve ever seen. He’s equal parts original & committed. All he does is make great movies. I’m starting to convince myself that Sicario 3 will work no matter what so long as Benicio is there.
