nftychat is web3’s chat platform for communities and frens alike.
here are the highlights of what we have to offer 🧵
we’ve made the difficult decision to shut down nftychat effective december 31, 2023
we've been humbled by the tremendous support we've received from all our frens over the years
web3 messaging is alive and well and we encourage folks to check out @consoledao & @xmtp_

🚀 @namestonehq 's gasless subdomains are revolutionizing the way we use names, making it accessible to wallets, exchanges, Companies, DAOs, and even AI bots. 👀🤖

subnames examples in the wild
- @coinbase with cb.id -- everyone can claim a name
- @argentHQ used to provide subnames (became cost prohibitive)
- community identity like @PoolTogether_ @bywassies
- personal use vault.name.eth
others?
on nftychat we use @namestonehq to issue free subdomains to our users
anyone can claim a .nfty.eth name
branding is pretty slick too namestone.xyz
to all that have requested free subdomains
we are going through the overflowing in-box now
should be all good for anyone who requested in the last 24 hours!

This is another great example of off-chain ENS names
Give your users a portable web3 username for free if they don't already have one ✨

So cool to see the trailblazers like nftychat showing the power and extensibility of the ENS platform.
Subname usage like this is the future of self sovereign accounts and identity.
