How to survive in a world of talented people.
It may be counter-intuitive for me to say the world is filled with talented people simply because all we see almost every time is an utmost display showing "lack-of-talent". #thread
I am big on running your own VPS instances until they become a bottleneck and I wonder when.
Data redundancy/protection should be what large clouds like AWS and GC should focus on.
If more people manage their own fleet security events will be less impactful and more difficult as everyone will have a different setup.

We are currently shutting down Postiz for all customers. We are afraid @Railway has been compromised; they won't tell us.
We have received emails from Anthropic and Stripe that our keys have been compromised.
We are digging into it and will get back to you ASAP!

Every codebase has decisions in it that nobody remembers making. Someone had a good reason, then they moved on, and the reason went with them.
Then an AI agent shows up and "cleans it up." That's the gap we're building SourceAnt to close.

Meet @sourceantai 🐜
We’re writing more code than ever, but keeping track of why it works the way it does is getting harder.
For coding agents, that problem is worse. The code might say a field isn't used. It doesn't say that another repository depends on it, or that the reason it exists is buried in an old Slack thread.
SourceAnt keeps the decisions, requirements, and conventions behind your software and brings them into coding agents and code reviews when they matter.
SourceAnt keeps the why behind your software available to everyone working on it, human or agent.

One of Claude’s new obsessions is to keep referring to types as kinds everywhere including in schemas. Evidence.kind, Requirement.kind found myself catching and correcting this across 3 different codebases. The philosophizing and verbosity is still annoyingly present.
I just launched @sourceantai on @ProductHunt today
We’re writing more code than ever, but for humans, understanding and managing all that code is getting harder.
Agents have a different problem: they can read the code, but often lack the context and intent behind it. They don’t know why things are the way they are, what was tried before, or which constraints matter.
#SourceAnt keeps that knowledge and serves it to developers, coding agents, and code reviews when they need it.
Check us out on #producthunt and feedback appreciated.

to build a cool product now, you really only need two ppl:
one dude with exceptional vision & taste who knows what should exist & can provide the right feedback loops for iteration.
& one dude who is absolutely relentless about making it real no matter what.
that’s it. & sometimes these two are the same.
I wouldn't say it's all that matters but these days the first thing I look for in a diff is whether there's been a change to the schema.
A few others:
- Any unexpected files?
- Changes in folder I didn't expect to be touched?
....
But this is such a useful thing to observe. – at Equatorial Guinea

🔥 Incredible news for the African startup community!
@vp_fund, just raises another $84 million from institutional investors to invest in African startups.
A huge congratulations to @kola_aina @DrDotun and team! 👏🏽👏🏽

Because the loudest among us don't seem to understand what a startup is and the fact we keep outsourcing the risk and then complain about ownership. I hope this puts to end the mental laziness.

Grip builds intelligent robots that pick the trash existing sorting machines can't.
Robotic manipulation just started working. Foundation models can now grasp the deformable, entangled, never-before-seen objects that waste streams are full of, on hardware that's finally cheap enough to make the economics work. We install modular robotic cells and every pick makes the whole fleet smarter.
We start with plastic contamination in organic waste, then expand to every stream where machines still leave the hard objects to humans. Grip is becoming the general manipulation platform for global waste infrastructure.
Founded by robotics engineers from ETH Zürich. Backed by Y Combinator (S26).

Your level of maturity is inversely correlated with how much you want other people to celebrate your birthday.
I have never admired anyone who insisted his birthday was big deal.

Is this the AI version of using Microsoft Edge to download Firefox/Chrome? 😭😂 – at Equatorial Guinea
Replying to @levelsio
How to do this:
Ask Claude Code to install OpenCode (yes it will 😂!)
Go to Kimi.com, make an account, pay for membership $19, get an API key at kimi.com/code/console
Run OpenCode, do /connect and connect to Kimi Code, paste API key
I recommend set to BUILD mode with Shift+Tab

🌑 Kimi K3 @Kimi_Moonshot just outbuilt GPT-5.6 Sol in our 3D modeling benchmark.
We asked both models to one-shot this entire build from scratch.
🆚The challenge: create a realistic, interactive 3D digital twin of the International Space Station.
No prebuilt model. Both had to reconstruct the ISS, render Earth and orbital lighting, add cinematic controls, labels, guided tours, an exploded view, then test and refine the result.
Same prompt. Same Kimi Code CLI harness. Both models routed through the AIsa model gateway.
Kimi K3 finished faster, cost less, and delivered stronger rendering, detail, and overall visual quality.

Ethiopia was never colonized.
For much of its history, it was one of the poorest countries on the continent.
Meanwhile, Vietnam was colonized by the French, devastated by decades of war, and is now on its way to serious economic prosperity.
If colonialism were the answer to why Africa is poor, Ethiopia should be rich and Vietnam should be broke. Neither is true.
Can we please retire this excuse?
