Episode 6: turning a plain WooCommerce shop page into something worth browsing. Theme Builder for the layout, Post Listing for the grid, one real taxonomy bug fixed along the way. youtube.com/watch?v=YPmSIsI1…

Stopped installing a separate SEO plugin for every WordPress build. Nexter Extension now runs its own site audit — real score, real fixes — right inside the page editor. No Yoast, no RankMath, one less plugin to maintain. What would your audit flag first?

There is a quiet snobbery that real builders start from a blank canvas, not a template kit. On a deadline that snobbery is expensive.

A kit is not the final look. It is skipping the 20 structural decisions that are the same on every site, so you spend time on the 10 that are not. Header, footer, hero, features, pricing, contact. You have built those a hundred times.

Blank canvas is right for a genuinely unusual brief. For a standard business site it is rebuilding the wheel slower. Starter templates: nexterwp.com/starter-templat… Kit for the structure, blank for the genuinely unusual brief.

The wait is over. SEO migration is coming to Nexter. Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO and SureRank: titles, descriptions, canonicals, social cards and redirects come with you. Nothing is written until you confirm. Nothing is deleted.

Which plugin are you on?

The Core Web Vitals metric most WordPress sites have not actually looked at: INP. LCP and CLS, people roughly get. INP quietly went red on a lot of sites when it replaced FID, and most builders have not opened it since.

INP measures how fast the page reacts to a tap. What slows it is JavaScript. The biggest JS source on a typical WP site is usually the plugin stack. The tools you built with are dragging the metric you have not checked. A caching plugin does nothing for it.

Patterns, reusable blocks, and template kits are not the same tool. Using one for everything is why people fight the editor. Pattern: paste it, then you own it. The original never updates you. Good for layouts you tweak every time.

Synced block: one source of truth, edit once changes everywhere. Good for a footer. Dangerous if you forget it is synced. Kit: a whole coordinated set, styles included. Good for starting fast. Kits: nexterwp.com/starter-templat…

Block plugins love advertising no jQuery. Worth being precise about what that is worth. Nexter Blocks is vanilla JS, zero jQuery dependency. What it buys: the plugin is not the reason jQuery loads, and its scripts are smaller than the jQuery equivalent.

What it does not buy: if your theme or any other plugin loads jQuery, jQuery still loads. One plugin dropping the dependency does not remove it from the page. Honest framing: one fewer thing adding weight, in a stack where weight comes from everywhere.
