The first multi-spacecraft science mission to Mars is about to make its big move.
Next month, Blue and Gold – the twin spacecraft we built for @NASA and @ucbssl – will swing close past Earth and each fire their main engine in a single, continuous burn, using Earth's gravity to amplify the burn as they set course for Mars. It's a maneuver that's never been successfully done before.
Our mission ops team is in full rehearsal mode for @escapade_mars' trans-Mars injection.

There's a lot of ground to cover when you're building a Moon Base.
During the first phase of @NASAMoonBase development, robotic rovers will gather new details about the lunar South Pole region, while lunar terrain vehicles will extend the reach of each Artemis mission.

Production of the new carbon composite forward dome for Neutron’s Stage 1 propellant tank is underway.
Our automated fiber placement (AFP) machine follows a computer-controlled course to lay down thousands of strands of carbon fiber - each thinner than a human hair - at speeds of up to 100 meters per minute to create Stage 1’s structures on custom molds.
Once the AFP machine is finished with the new forward dome it will be rolled out, inspected, then prepared for the curing process to harden the carbon composite.

October is a milestone-packed month for our MIURA 5 program, as we continue turning our launch system into a reality.
Here’s what’s taking shape across the program:
▪️Launcher qualification: MIURA 5 is undergoing system-level qualification, with three units manufactured.
▪️Industrial scale-up: Advancing our production capabilities to accelerate production and prepare for the next phase.
▪️Launch infrastructure: Progressing ground systems, civil works, and launch operations to build the foundations for liftoff.
The road to launch is taking shape. Every milestone advances MIURA 5 towards operational readiness.

Go MMX! 🚀
Ready for today's launch of @JAXA_En's mission to the moons of Mars? Liftoff is slated for 3:41 p.m. EDT.
Watch live at: youtube.com/live/Fn6gzuGa-6c
The MMX spacecraft carries two pieces of NASA hardware: The MEGANE instrument will be key to revealing the origin of Mars’s moons by measuring their elemental composition.
The P-Sampler demonstration will advance capabilities for surface material acquisition in low gravity. ½
Our Viasat Government team is excited for the next step with @NASA’s Communications Services Project (CSP). The Maxwell demo spacecraft launches Oct 19 on Bandwagon‑5 – a key move toward real‑time data relay for LEO missions.
Liftoff at 6:30 a.m. ET from Cape Canaveral! 🚀

📦 Ariane 6's next passengers are in French Guiana! 🚀
The 36 Amazon Leo satellites for the upcoming mission are now at Europe's Spaceport in Kourou.
Their arrival is just the beginning of a series of operations leading up to launch day.
From satellite checks and preparation to payload integration, each step requires careful coordination to ensure everything is ready for the journey to orbit.
Arianespace oversees these operations as the launch campaign progresses towards liftoff aboard Ariane 64, currently targeted for no earlier than November 23, depending on the final launch time.
📅 Stay tuned!

Our next launch is just days away! 🚀
Next Monday, we’ll be launching Pelican-12, an updated second generation high resolution Pelican, aboard @SpaceX's Bandwagon-5.
Pelican-12 carries the @nvidia Jetson platform to enable on-orbit edge compute. This powers capabilities like AI-driven, near real-time object detection and helps us explore new ways to reduce latency and build towards planetary-scale Earth intelligence.

🔥 Just another day at Stennis. Stage 2 successfully completed its first integrated hotfire!
The A2 test stand was originally built in the 60s to support Saturn V Upper Stage testing (S-II). It was later reconfigured to be a single engine test stand for Shuttle Main Engine testing and development.
The last Saturn V Stage test occurred October 30, 1970 on A2. It has been 55 years, 11 months, and 17 days since A2 supported stage testing capability.
As of this morning, it is now 0 days.

Two football fields. That’s roughly how close Otter Pup 2 is now regularly operating next to @GilmourSpace’s ElaraSat, fully autonomously. This puts Otter Pup 2 on a very short list of spacecraft in human history.
This video was captured from just 200 meters away as Otter Pup 2 conducted close proximity operations around ElaraSat. Otter Pup 2 is capturing images like these and using them to track and predict the position and orientation of ElaraSat on an ongoing basis.
We’ve gone from thousands of kilometers to hundreds of meters away, continuing to test, iterate and validate our technology along the way. And Otter Pup 2 is not done getting closer, as it continues its mission to make history.
