I was watching Claude test new features and noticed a stack overflow, was curious how Claude would handle that. It noticed and is pondering how to proceed.
A spreadsheet for DOS is not something I’m likely to use. This is more of an experiment because it’s so much more complex than my Kanban program so I want to see how Claude does with the challenge.

Mixed emotions when I easily complete something in an evening that I started and restarted many times pre-AI without getting it anywhere near done. Here is my Video Poker for MSDOS. Getting it playable and looking decent was incredibly easy for Opus 5. #retrocomputing #msdos
Got motivated to look at ND Kanban and ND SQL again last week. Put Claude Code to work on my list of features, 1 at a time, and it’s been knocking them off. Kanban is very usable now and SQL is coming along nicely.

Today is the day I've been promised the first royalty payment for my #retrocomputing book, "20 GOTO 10"
Payments are currently 18 months late.
Will the $$$ arrive? Place your bets...

So @bigfishgames still owe me $3700 of incorrectly withheld taxes and their royalty dept doesn’t respond to me.
Does anyone have a senior contact there who can help? I tried messaging their president on LinkedIn but got no reply.
Thx and please share. It’s been 4 months now.
Thought my 1992 3.5” beige floppy drive gave out this week after formatting 65 disks. So I bought a replacement on eBay, decided to get black and change to a XT inspired colorway. Then discovered the old floppy cable was just loose. I have decisions to make now. #retrocomputing
Step 1 of the transformation has happened. I have the black 3.5” drive, not going to try and buy a black 5.25, will replace that with a gotek and bottom slot will get a compact flash slot.
A #pico8 thing I did last night to be ready to answer upcoming (hopefully) questions from my kid about tables/objects, arrays, randomizing, animation speed, organizing code. Amazing the high % of time an appdev has to spent on gfx stuff like squishing a ball. #notagameprogrammer
