This is an incredible opportunity for an ambitious and passionate leader to help shape the future of teaching, learning and staff development across our academy community.
Yesterday, our Year 9 students took part in a public speaking workshop run by @aspiretohe, led by the University of Wolverhampton.
Students were guided through listening and speaking skills, as well as writing their own speeches based on a subject of interest.
A reminder to NEWA families that Year 9 parents evening will be on Tuesday 6th January 26 from 4-6.00pm. There is no need to book but please ensure you arrive in a timely manner to guarantee meeting all of your child's teachers.
NEWA hosted a 'House Christmas Bakeoff' today where students and staff could bring in their best festive bakes for the house competition.
A huge well done to everyone who took part and showed such creativity, effort and baking skills. We were seriously impressed!
We welcomed Elston Hall and St Paul's Primary School to our Academy last week to kick off the Christmas celebrations!
Students took part in a festive writing workshop, created their own Christmas decorations, and enjoyed a screening of A Christmas Carol.
Today, our NEWA students had a wonderful time spreading Diwali cheer at St Paul’s Primary School.
They performed traditional dances, filled the classrooms with the beats of the dhol drums, and joined the primary students in creating beautiful diyas symbolising light and hope.

Over the last two days we have welcomed our new year 7 students to the academy.
They have taken part in fun filled taster sessions which ranged from Maths, English and Science to performing arts and PE. They had a great experience of the NEWA life.
