Composer upgrade hack:
Sometimes projects get stuck in a legacy state, not due to lack of motivation or finances, but because of immense complexity.
Many projects have five dependencies mutually relying on each other, unable to untangle.
One package requires Guzzle 5, another Guzzle 6, and another Guzzle 7. Composer crashes on an unresolvable matrix of circular conflicts.
All or nothing? We can give up or use a "fake it till you make it" trick.
We can tell composer.json that we use an old version but require a new one: "NEW as OLD"
This way, the composer update runs successfully ✅
All our dependencies are installed. Double-check that CI is passing, and you're ready for the next PR 😉
