This is unacceptable. The suspect was already on probation and back on the street within hours.
We’ve invested in more police officers, but that means nothing if violent offenders are released almost immediately after arrest. It’s time for senior levels of government to step up with meaningful bail reform to keep these repeat offenders off our streets.
