The AVHA antenna colocation is already congested and struggling. The latency is horrible and packetloss occurring. It’s sub 100-150 ish and terrible upload. Even next to the site less busy sector I got 550 and it has like a 5-10gb circuit it has crazy usage. They need small cells
AT&T in Chinatown is TERRIBLE the macros are 2.5 miles in one of the cities busiest dense areas plus 2 lte small cells. They added a 4th sector to one site and that’s it did NOTHING. T-Mobile has 5 EXTRA macros and 20-30 small cells. Verizon is ok not great or bad.
One thing is Verizon in rural Texas still has random holes in the network that shouldn’t exist. T-Mobile has more rural coverage than them now. But att doesn’t run the state from mw licenses and permits T-Mobile will surpass or march ATt in rural tx coverage in 2027.
I drove over 100 miles on a similar route I take and have been testing extensively. Verizon is the most improved every site almost has 200mhz N77. T-Mobile is 50/50 major congestion in towns 100meg weak upload n41 due to congestion. But modern and overall fine but regressed.
Att has literally done nothing tons of sites not modernized no n77 and horrific density that Verizon and T-Mobile destroy them in. Att has 0 new sites planned and Verizon has a few and T-Mobile has tons they will win this area in clearly in rural coverage by next year.
This site was kinda struggling needs n41. It’s super rural N25/66 and new but it seems no site on T-Mobiles network near me is safe from having a bit to much usage, a few more home internet connections will kill the site. The site is getting 3 new sites to help offload it.
T-Mobiles network in rural Texas towns near me is so congested. The speeds are bad and the packetloss exists. They have high marketshare and lots of home internets as not much fiber. Tmo and Verizon use ATt fiber or optimum backhaul here.
Verizon is insane at my family members house the site was band 13 only last time I came. T-Mobile is 4.5 miles away from the house gets crazy speeds idk how but the area gets bad service until they colocate with Verizon soon. Att same site as VZ but bad density and no n77 in area
$20 total plan is crazy good. T-Mobile is weird when I was driving I had nothing but congested lowband. But n41 at the house as it’s higher. Kinda odd.
T-Mobile n41 vs Verizon n77 vs att n77 outdoors at college station tx Walmart. T-Mobile insane congestion like usual.
Verizon lte node bands 13 10mhz and band 2 10 mhz. Directly in front of it not congested at all. And T-Mobile to the left a few hundred feet away -68 rsrp.
Verizon site got upgraded months ago. N77 not on yet. Terrible wiring on the new cone and the fiber contractors have it exposed, a weedeater will knock out the site? Very low quality work but rf engineers don’t come out here so I doubt anyone will check it lol
Zero T-Mobile congestion. Same site as att both have midband. Every site in this market for T-Mobile is sub 100meg pretty much. It’s insane like what can you even do when every single macro site is overloaded in a city of 300k. All I’ve seen is 1 small cell and 1 site upgrade lol
T-MOBILE 800 million plan in progress to decom macro sites and das systems. I have seen a lot shut off and this proves it. T-Mobile sites will be turned off to save money! I have seen over 15 in Houston area shut off this year.
@SriniGopalan I’m not sure how this plan is being done but I have some areas where the network is really DEGRADED due to sites being shut off possibly due to this it does not seem to be optimally done?
This is a site near me that in April 2025 T-Mobile cut the top off and upgraded. Then by the end of 2025 it got decomed. The network is congested and sucks in that area even with density and small cells. The lease/engineering team is idiots for this, more than their yearly salary.
