'Why have the English been so successful at holding on to power?'
In his last recorded TV interview (with Kim Howells for HTV series 'Divided Kongdom') Williams addresses this question in 3mins in a way that's as relevant now as it was in 1988.

FREELANCERS ASSEMBLE!
@FreelancersMake Hello 👋 I’m working as a producer at BBC London TV and we’re hoping to speak to a freelancer in London still waiting to learn what the new government arts investment package will mean for them. Could you help us find a voice please ? Thanks
Real graft has gone in to make this happen and huge thanks to those who worked so hard on behalf of the whole industry. We are really hopeful that freelancers will have a place at all discussions about the future of theatre in Wales moving forward. YMLAEN!
Alongside the thousands of freelancers working in UK theatre, we welcome the news of a £1.57bn support package that was announced tonight with a great deal of relief. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard for this unprecedented response #freelancersmaketheatrework
If you have not yet received any form of government or Arts Council support - early application is a really good idea, this is likely to be extremely competitive.
If you are a theatre freelancer and have not yet been eligible for financial support, @london_theatre, Sam Mendes and @netflix have set up the
THEATRE ARTISTS FUND
Find more information see their website: theatreartists.fund
Please Note: Early application is advisable
Attendees will be required to register their interest on Monday with space allocated on a first come first served bases.
When registering you will be able to indicate which session you prefer to attend.
