Kemi capturing the national mood. Burnham already looking like a busted flush who peaked at £2 bus fares.
A powerful intervention from the head of the Army. Something is coming, and government needs to wake up.
He says the public will have to make sacrifices so we can prioritise defence and security.
This is no time for “national security can’t come at the expense of social security”. Hard choices are coming whether ministers like it or not.
I have been clear where I would start: cut welfare spending and put the money into defence.

The head of the British Army says the UK’s days of not having to think about fighting a war are over
Pre-ordering meals for @British_Airways short-haul flights is painful. Hung at the payment page, anyone's guess if it has gone through. Similar problem when booking seats. Generally, BA's flight booking website seems incredibly slow and glitchy.
Inadequate cowards hiding behind masks and balaclavas, most of whom have likely not done a decent day's work in their lives.

I listened to BBC'S Simon Jack & Sir Philip Augur, aficiandos of business & banking. I disagree with them that the banks will be OK about a windfall tax. Added cost will be passed to customers, lending could be more restricted. The Chancellor & Labour must learn profit is not a 'four letter word' - It has 6 letters
Lesson here: don't do podcasts with your mates, you are liable to show off and say stupid things.
BBC News - Burnham says it is 'clear' Russia interfered with Brexit vote

Truth 👇
My vote on Brexit was affected by disinformation. I voted Remain because I was told if Leave won there would be terrible consequences.
The BoE Governor told me he would raise interest rates - he lowered them.
The Chancellor said he'd have an emergency budget - he didn't.
The Treasury said unemployment would go up - it went down.
Goldman Sachs and others said they would pull out of Britain - they spent billions on new HQs
The Chief Executive of the NHS Alliance said there would be an epidemic of super-gonorrhoea.
As for foreign interference - The EU, the US and Irish Presidents etc etc all weighed in on the side of Remain.
Do we have to have Gary Neville on the Man U matches? He used to play for them. @SkySportsPL
Why is London allowed to be disrupted in this way on a weekly basis? @ShabanaMahmood @MayorofLondon
