To be clear: the US election result is a blow in the fight against the climate crisis. The window to limit warming to 1.5°C is closing—these next 4 years are critical. But let’s not despair. The Paris Agreement has proven resilient, stronger than any one country’s policies (1/10)

Hey @developmentseed, looks like our work is getting some visibility 😉 developmentseed.org/our-fore…

Do you want to step away from Big Oil's noise (and that of their lobbyists and enablers) and look at facts?
> We have everything we need to go 100% renewables and electric, and we will
> Fossil fuel demand is entering terminal decline

Une seule bannière : front populaire.
Nous appelons Olivier Faure, Fabien Roussel, Marine Tondelier, Manuel Bompard à la porter, ensemble. Insoumis, communistes, socialistes, écologistes. Unis. Pour éviter le pire, pour gagner.

Excited to share a visual that I worked on last year…
It's an interactive timelapse of Intelligent Octopus EV charging patterns, alongside electricity generation outturn and carbon intensity 🚗⚡🍃

Stoked to announce that I joined @OctopusEnergy as a Data Visualisation Engineer last December! (yes, better outrageously late than never)
And in terms of the craft... it's like a candy shop for a dataviz person, and a series of firsts (first time working with Lidar data, first time dabbling with Three.js, first animated dendrograms, first Lego/Arduino wind turbine, first marshmallow-spaghetti towers...)
We're a team of two with @robhawkes, and I can't be thankful enough for the chance he gave me to embark on this journey ✌

What can a tree do when the Earth's temperature rises and the trees cannot relocate?
Excited to share a project we built called 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒔 𝑻𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘.
Explore these interactive maps and data to see where our forests might head in a warming world. #ForestDay

Do I know anyone who's working on (or knows someone who is working on) the Google Solar API?
Got some questions about future plans for the API which are quite important for determining how much I end up using it… 👀

Every ship that's helped construct the ginormous Dogger Bank wind farm so far ⚡
The hive of activity on the left is where the first of 277 turbines are being installed and energised
It's part of a new series of visuals that I'm working on in my free time 🤓

1/ ✈️ Did you know? A round trip from London to New York emits 2 tons of CO₂. That's a year's worth of emissions for an average person in India! It's high time we rethink our travel habits. 🌏 developmentseed.org/blog/202…
