People really need to stop playing dumb about Coy Jandreau.
He co-hosts DC STUDIOS SHOWCASE: THE OFFICIAL PODCAST.
As in, tied directly to DC Studios. As in, he is being paid to sit there and represent the brand.
So when he goes on another podcast and says DCU critics can “choke on their own tongues,” yeah, that can absolutely affect his employment.
I genuinely do not care whether the check technically comes from DC Studios, HBO Max, OBB, or Accounting Goblin LLC.
It all leads back to DC STUDIOS.
The reality is that he gets the access, the platform, the legitimacy and the paycheck that comes with being one of the faces of an official DC Studios production.
You don’t get to cash the check when things are good and then suddenly become “just some random independent creator” when people call you out for saying something stupid.
That’s not how any of this works.

Netflix is reportedly planning layoffs that would cut roughly 5% of its workforce as soon as next week.
It’s not clear which departments would be most heavily affected by the reported cuts.
