Rebrands are almost always a bad idea.
If you decide to make this bad decision you should also make sure to avoid:
- Picking an ambiguous name you'll need to spell out every time it comes up in conversation (aka WOM)
- Picking a name already trademarked in your category (broad - software / SaaS)
- Buying a domain with an appended word on it to be able to get the .com (e.g. hibrandname or brandnameteam
Competitor just hit the trifecta 🤦♂️
So surprised by this! We use and love Pulley. Would gladly pay more for it. Is this Carta acquiring it to shut it down or something else?
Hoping the founders step up this morning with some more tranparency.
One of the things I'm enjoying most about writing code is finding small areas to tend like a garden over time.
Learning more about the nature of the code and the interfaces, finding and slowly burning down UX debt, defining new patterns and bring in existing ones, making it prettier piece by piece.
Harder for me to make systemic changes but I can highlight how we might do that, and create mini proof of concepts for how we can level up.
Boom.

Favourite new skill: /gauntlet
It takes our internal harness' /code-review skill, adds the /team-review skill I created by simulating the types of feedback I get on PRs from everyone in eng, does /security review, an anti-ai-writing-slop and anti-ai-design-slop pass, then a final Codex antagonistic review.
The cost of each round trip on a PR review is expensive, the more I can reduce those round trips the better.
I can still do more targeted reviews at different stages, but nice to have a catch all.
