ADC drug development is accelerating. But is biomarker science keeping pace?
Nearly 50% of ADC trials require no biomarker, while most that do still rely on conventional IHC.
In our new @NatRevClinOncol review published just in time pre-#ESMO26, we propose a modular framework to bridge this gap - moving beyond target expression to the multiple biological determinants of ADC efficacy and toxicity.
Proud to lead this international effort with @BarbaraPistill2 @nedmcnamee @rreddel @VivekSubbiah and colleagues.

The review article @CCR_AACR highlights the limitations of IHC for ADC (e.g. HER2-low) and proposes quantitative proteomics as a key strategy to enhance precision.

Proud of this work led by @CMRI_AUS PhD student Dr Ned McNamee, tackling one of the central challenges in ADC development: how to identify predictive biomarkers for ADC efficacy.
Quantitative proteomics offers a path forward.

Australia has one of the highest rates of asbestos-associated diseases. RIOMeso is the 1st detailed report of real-world outcomes for ipilimumab/nivolumab for mesothelioma in Australia, revealing significant toxicity & less prominent survival benefit.bit.ly/46AuJsR #LCSM
