No one understands just how much Salah loves Jerusalem.
When he was arrested in 2005, the Israeli Occupation Authorities made him choose between a 15-year exile in France or serving a lengthy prison sentence of 7 years.
He deigned to go to prison. He couldn’t leave Jerusalem.

Possibly the saddest book dedication I’ve ever read: the one on Vicente Francisco’s book on the Philippine Law on Treason (1945), in which he dedicated his work to the memory of his two little children who were killed by American artillery fire during the Battle for Manila.
