Say hello to some new wines from Brendan Stater-West. The two Chenin Blancs are from two distinct parts of Les Chapaudaises. 2018 is Brendan’s 1st vintage of Cabernet Franc. The parcel is in Brézé, in the lieu-dit of La Ripaille. Brendan is just the 2nd grower with La Ripaille.

“The only difficultly in ‘17 was the hail. The yield was 50% less than a normal year (average yield in 2017: 19hl/ha). The profile of the wines is somewhere between 2016 and 2015. The tannins are delicate like 2016 and the wines are full-bodied much like 2015.” - @MeeGodard
