ok, big one for me, and im honestly a little nervous ✨ on wednesday my solo show "Dust and Echoes" opens on @objktcom, hosted by @xor_space. october 14, 18:00 CET. 21 works, all 1/1. i've been building towards this all year and i can't wait for you to walk in. this year i've been deep into gaussian splatting. i love this technology, and i spent most of the year looking for ways to bend its limits and see what else it can do. i record each place by walking around it with my phone, and from that scan my own tools bake three pieces. no two places got the same treatment: · a still, 10240 × 12800 px, every gaussian as a speck of color. made to be printed big · an object, a GLB with a life of its own: some drift in a breeze, some breathe, and in two of them the blocks break and jump like a datamosh · an interactive walk in the browser, with my own splat renderer. in some the place assembles itself as you walk it; in others it breathes, swirls, or mirrors itself. the music is generated live from the colors around you. on android you can walk it in AR, with your body. this one still blows my mind every time a place is never just one thing. it depends on who's standing in it and how they look. that's why every place here comes three times, as three pieces that don't quite agree with each other. that's on purpose, and i love that about them. i wrote the whole pipeline myself, with a phone and a laptop, in epuyén, patagonia. seven places i recorded this year, each one three times. it was a lot of work and i'd do it all again. the walks go up as auctions, the stills and the objects at a fixed price. thank you @xor_space for believing in this, and thank you for being around. see you wednesday 🫶 link 👇
