Using @plainsupport ❤️
We rebuilt customer support around Grok Bot to scale our operations without adding headcount.
It works autonomously to respond to customers, resolve tickets, and manage the queue.

New YouTube video about the OpenAI and Hugging Face incident, with a technical dive into the proposed 0days

ALT An OpenAI agent reportedly escaped its sandbox, found multiple zero-days, and hacked Hugging Face... all to cheat on a cybersecurity benchmark? The story sounded almost too crazy to be true. Mohan (S1r1u5) investigated and reconstructed the likely attack chain, examined the patches, and reproduced vulnerabilities that match the public disclosures. Was this really a rogue AI, clever marketing, or "just" an agent that lost track of its task and caused real-world damage?

I strongly believe there are entire companies right now under heavy AI psychosis and its impossible to have rational conversations about it with them. I can't name any specific people because they include personal friends I deeply respect, but I worry about how this plays out.
I lived through the great MTBF vs MTTR (mean-time-between-failure vs. mean-time-to-recovery) reckoning of infrastructure during the transition to cloud and cloud automation. All those arguments are rearing their ugly heads again but now its... the whole software development industry (maybe the whole world, really).
It's frightening, because the psychosis folks operate under an almost absolute "MTTR is all you need" mentality: "its fine to ship bugs because the agents will fix them so quickly and at a scale humans can't do!" We learned in infrastructure that MTTR is great but you can't yeet resilient systems entirely.
The main issue is I don't even know how to bring this up to people I know personally, because bringing this topic up leads to immediately dismissals like "no no, it has full test coverage" or "bug reports are going down" or something, which just don't paint the whole picture.
We already learned this lesson once in infrastructure: you can automate yourself into a very resilient catastrophe machine. Systems can appear healthy by local metrics while globally becoming incomprehensible. Bug reports can go down while latent risk explodes. Test coverage can rise while semantic understanding falls. Changes happens so fast that nobody notices the underlying architecture decaying.
I worry.

(🧵1/11) For the past year and a half, I've been investigating OpenAI and Sam Altman for @NewYorker. With my coauthor @andrewmarantz, I reviewed never-before-disclosed internal memos, obtained 200+ pages of documents related to a close colleague, including extensive private notes, and interviewed more than 100 people.
OpenAI was founded on the premise that A.I. could be the most dangerous invention in human history—and that its C.E.O. would need to be a person of uncommon integrity. We lay out the most detailed account yet of why Altman was ousted out by board members and executives who came to believe he lacked that integrity, and ask: were they right to allege that he couldn't be trusted?

Last week, we met with the ex-maintainers in Greece 🇬🇷 and had a toast for @authjs.

This is a bittersweet moment, but given the time and energy I've been able to dedicate to the project lately, it feels like the right decision
I followed @bekacru from the start and I think he is the right person to trust with Auth.js
I am officially no longer the maintainer

Replying to @authjs
@authjs has been an OSS success story.
I want to thank all our @opencollect contributor! đź’š
To pay it forward and inspire a new developer/project, I'm donating my full share, ~7500USD, to an open-source project.
Drop your suggestion in comments, who would deserve it?
