I should do more line sketches but I'm quite obsessed with color theory at the moment. so I'll keep coloring line work for now.

a sheet of funny random architecture things. maybe I just caught a Richard Scarry virus or something.

I'm not far away from a "paint by numbers" process, but it's satisfying.

architecture blurbs. paper line drawings as a base. lower left squares were sketched on postit notes. some sketches are from 2025.

fast sketch. when I have too much time, my images tend to slowly veer away from graphic shapes and bold decisions, and drift into a more conventional realism. not easy to nail this balance.

ballpoint pen on paper. digital color test. I was having in mind Goro's lighting technique for this one.

trying things for fun. it's been a while since I managed to find time to simply do stuff and let constraints go. I should have focused on the extract for a full illo.

messing around with my rusty brush packs. it's fun going back to that flow state feeling when it comes to these.

oh hi, I'm still alive. here's some humble towers. ballpoint sketches. scanned and painted digitally.

I haven't done shading in my sketches for more than 25 years. Always felt like it could put the lines at risk of becoming unreadable. It is strange how we creatively change over time.
