Great research from Nolan Lawson on the AI cost of JavaScript frameworks, with benchmarks, not vibes.
@nuxt_js comes out strong for the agentic era:
- Fewest tokens of any framework (even fewer than vanilla JS)
- Near the top for cost and time per run
- Second-fewest lines of code to maintain
The cheapest code is the code the agent never has to write.

Time to get off these big platforms everybody. Why pay for bloated software when you can pay some recently unemployed devs to build and implement you something bespoke (for less).

Hey Claude, build me my own web browser.
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.
That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community.
Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet today’s security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward.
We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how:
· Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly.
· Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact.
· Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security.
· The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional.
Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.
Installed Ubuntu Server on a random server room PC. It got online, updated itself, found every driver and was running in minutes.
Kids today will never know the pain of finding the right graphics driver all afternoon, then removing the network one at the last second. 🤦♂️

Another British Fumble!
£2bn AI data centre in Essex. 23,000 Nvidia chips, planning permission sorted, Microsoft signed up as the anchor tenant
Microsoft has reportedly now walked. Because the grid told them they can't have the power until 2033/34
The government literally named this site in its own AI action plan. They talk about AI growth zones every other week. And we can't get 90MW to a field in Essex for 8 years
Same story as the reservoirs. We don't build the boring stuff, so the exciting stuff can't happen here
Followed by the realisation I need to restructure the backend of tidylike.co.uk 🤦♂️
For me, one of the most useful elements of AI Agents over the past couple of months has been in non-code related planning.
With the right prompt, an agent will bring realism and alternative ideas to balance natural optimism.

Now to try this on the factory floor...
I have discovered $50 amazon photo frames to be the PERFECT home display screen
They can be rooted, updated to run a modern browser, have WiFi and can be powered from USB
1280×800 resolution with a nice touch screen
I detailed how to hack these yourself in my latest video

Tech Twitter: is SaaS dead?
Meanwhile in a real business it takes a couple of hours to track down an invoice from a few months ago.
I wonder how much “AI use” really means “I use AI to write my emails.”

Cursor Grok 4.6 now has 'Extra High Fast'. I wonder how long it'll be before we reach the endgame tech designation of 'Ultra'.
A beautiful website. Now I can not understand things while admiring pretty pictures.

I've had to manually choose to use Claude 4 Sonnet in Cursor because the results I was getting from GPT-5 were so poor. 🤦♂️
Is it going to get better? 🤔
CNBC: GPT-5′s rollout fell flat for consumers, but is gaining where it matters most

I consistently find myself coming back to IONOS as a hosting platform. Solid offerings, cheap prices.
But as I've started to help friends & family out with their sites, I do wonder if their cheap pricing is supplemented by the number of money-making methods they employ...
Over the years they layer on additional charges that appear essential to the untrained eye.
- PHP Extended Support (rather than helping users to upgrade)
- Email 'firewalls' (I don't even know what they're selling half the time)
- Multiple hosting packages (when one would do)
Just because it appears lots of people are failing this today 😁
