Oh no. Xiaomi organizes track day with champion driver - crashes car
Xiaomi is probably the hottest Chinese car brand, but its SU7 sedan has a reputation for crashing. To teach its customers how to drive fast & safe, Xiaomi organized a track day, grandly called "Xiaomi Auto Elite Driving Advanced Driving Training Course" in Beijing. The main teacher was touring car champion Xie Xinzhe.
The company stated: "Xiaomi's advanced driving training will train 10,000 Xiaomi car owners for free in more than 10 cities across the country to improve safety awareness and car control capabilities. This will definitely have a positive effect on road safety."
The course included: steering wheel grip, safety awareness, driving awareness, acceleration braking + emergency lane change, and more.
Sadly, not all went well. On the first day of the course a blue SU7 Max crashed into a barrier on the side of the track. The car ended up immediately behind a Xiaomi Driving Experience board. The car was immediately covered up with a gray cover. Fortunately, the driver was okay.
At present, the specific cause of the accident is not clear. The training continued a little later.

Briefly tried out the new “joyride” function on the highway too. Feels more natural. Smoother acceleration and braking. More assertive lane changes.

Promptly headed out for a 50km drive in the rain.
Mixed route on surface streets and narrow country roads without center markings. So many scenarios where the previous versions just gave up were no problem.🤯
Successfully navigated around trucks, scooters, bikes, trikes, pedestrians partially or completely blocking the lane on roads with and without lane markings. Handled 3 lane into 2 lane cross intersection transitions. Obstructed right hand turns. @NIOGlobal
