It's been a hectic few hours, but here is what we know about how @ABDanielleSmith, @rebeccakschulz, @BrianJeanAB and @Alberta_UCP are lying to you about net-zero electricity. #ableg #abpoli #abelxn 🧵 @JSJamato @CanadianPress @TorontoStar @calgaryherald
The NDP and @RachelNotley have committed to @JustinTrudeau’s 2035 Net Zero plan- this will increase electricity bills 40% on Alberta families.
We can’t go backwards.
On May 29th, vote United Conservative.

Today, UBC graduate students and postdoctoral researchers are participating in a nationwide walkout to call for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers to receive needed federal funding for their scholarly activities. 1/3
Thank you 👏🏻 we need to talk about this more. Canada’s science funding for graduate students is like, literally impoverishing students before they can even start a career.
Last time NSERC funded grad students had a raise, I was working in Norway, had lots of hair & no gray in my beard. All have changed except NSERC grad student funding levels. I had NSERC during my MSc & PhD: it was excellent support. Now, it's embarassing. #SupportOurScience
Sharks, I propose NHL Mini. The games are 2 periods and we get rid of the things that suck, like the Too many white people and gambling commercials. Hmu 🤙
Great new study & blog on #KnowledgeExchange in forest science! Authors highlight lack of inclusion of Indigenous knowledge + how scientists need to think more inclusively about who knowledge producers & users are.

15-min cities make amenities close by to homes + walkable + convenient
No one is gonna be forced to stay in a “mandated 15-min zone”
These neighbourhoods already exist (eg Queen Alex) and no one there is oppressed by it lol
Why do ppl need to make a problem out of nothing??🤦🏻♀️
