It’s time to get honest. The US has some of the most extreme abortion laws in the world but you wouldn't know that if you get your news from the mainstream media. That’s intentional. They tell you there’s no such thing as abortion up to nine months. But almost half the population lives in states where abortion is implicitly allowed and at any time during pregnancy. If a woman or doctor wanted to, they could kill a baby after labor had begun. That’s 139.1 million Americans who live in states that allow people to kill their child at any point during a pregnancy. That’s one-third of the population. This map illustrates the reality that you can get a really late, late term abortion in America. And it gets worse when you compare that to the rest of the world. Liberals often cite Europe as more “progressive” but America’s abortion laws are wildly more extreme than Europe’s. Most countries have strict limits on abortion by the 20th week of gestation. Only a few other countries allow abortion up until birth including China, North Korea, and Canada. Not great company. And what about late term abortions? The Guttmacher Institute, figures show that late term abortions constitute about 1% of all abortions. That means about 10,000 late term abortions every year. That’s more than 27 every day.
