No matter what some global leaders and leaders from the far right say, it is women's aspirations that will drive all of society and we, the women, will decide that for ourselves!!!

The world is burning! Uganda has its many many problems😭
but.....
I keep thinking that if Kamala Harris had become President of the USA, we would be laughing with her because she's literally the happiest person I've watched on any screen since I was born.

So M7 is interested in talking with some one who wanted to kill him? I am among the 6 leaders who visited KB, he doesn't talk, doesn't walk. He communicated pointing to letters on an alphabet chart as we wrote down the letters to form words. "MY BAIL IS NOT FOR NEGOTIATION"

Is the state a liberating force or a repressive force which tramples civil society underneath? Does it liberate the energies of the citizens to innovate, to build or does it repress? That’s the fundamental question. What is seen as criticism is actually citizens expressing their high expectations of their government @norbertmao #ConferenceOnTheConstitution #KnowYourConstitution @ccgea1

Today is my birthday!
A friend suggested I set up a Buy Me a Coffee page, which feels a little strange because I've never asked my followers for contributions before.
If you've enjoyed my data stories and would like to support my work, I'd be grateful for a coffee or birthday treat.
Either way, thank you for following along. I'll keep sharing more data stories soon!.☕

Stop giving Gender minister appointments to women who cannot work!
Reserve it for the ‘mad women’ who can raise hell.
The so called ‘mother figures’ are failing us.

Three months since he collapsed, I finally had the opportunity to see and meet my leader, @kizzabesigye1! Before meeting him, I had imagined so many things about his appearance and current condition. It broke my heart to see that he is now being taught how to walk and talk again. A speech therapist was using a word chart with simple words like "dog" and "boy," which KB is supposed to try his hardest to pronounce, though he hasn’t succeeded yet.
KB uses an alphabetical letter chart where he taps out letters for you to write down and piece together what he is saying. Sensing that I was shocked about his current state, he pointed that “it could have been worse.”
We both would laugh when he would check my notes and realize I had written something completely different from what he was spelling out! 🙈🙈 I tried to defend myself by saying that’s what he had tapped, and we would laugh again. When I ran out of excuses for my mistakes, I reminded him that my eyes aren't fully functional, which is why I wear glasses. 🙈
KB is now also an expert of sign language, when he gets tired of using the chat, he uses signs 😳
He hears very well, but he not able to talk yet. I commended his sharp brain of being able to communicate by tapping letters of alphabet.
He doesn’t remember exactly what happened at court, he remembers waking up days later while in the ICU at Mulago.
As we conversed, I was drinking water, When I offered him a bottle as well, I was reminded that he cannot hold a bottle of water on his own. His hands aren’t firm, they are shaky and lack strength.
He stated that we are back in the 1890s but encouraged us to hang in there. He said that under the current regime, just staying alive is an achievement.
Salongo @EriasLukwago is his neighbor in the same facility, but they have never met. I informed him how Lukwago was taken to Mulago.
Seeing KB in state he is was incredibly painful, but his enduring spirit and sharp mind remind me why he is the leader he is. Please keep KB in your thoughts and prayers as he walks this long, difficult road to recovery. His resilience gives me hope that we will get through this dark chapter. Long live KB🙏🏻

No regime in Uganda's history has used ANAL RAPE to the extent that the NRA/M has! Others probably used it here and there; the NRA/M took it to an industrial scale! If there is one thing the regime has done so repeatedly, it is this - raping men and women in the anuses!
Where the regime goes, reports of wide scale anal rape follow! In northern Uganda were the NRA soldiers deployed in the late '80s & '90s, hundreds of old men & women alike say they were anally raped by them at gun point. Many of them infected with HIV in the process - and left to live their ruined lives in utter shame!
Tens of men, mostly NUP supporters, who return from regime safe houses in Kampala and Entebbe say they were anally raped by multiple men in detention. One of had a pistol pushed into their rectum! There's something wicked about about this whole thing, it can't be about degrading victims alone, but we can only know in the future.
Thank God @AloikinOpoloje survived it all, to the disappointment of her would be anal rapists sanctioned by the regime!
