I am Portuguese, my wife is on a path to get Portuguese citizenship for around 3 years now. We have a 3 year old who is Portuguese, we have property in Portugal, we just paid 8k € to Portuguese taxes and pay taxes every year in Portugal. She is an AI/ML engineer. We are married since 2019. Her Portuguese citizenship process started in 2023 and is absolutely stuck.

Dutch bakfiets is coming after you @VynseDev

What?!

Asked @grok about the situation, he said:”Portugal’s system is more resilient to such controversies” when compared to the Dutch, I found it funny the justification then for the usage of resilience in this context

World Cup games are averaging, per half, 45 mins + 3 mins hydration brake + 5 mins added extra time. 108 mins total Vs 90. How much extra advertising money is 18 mins/game?

World Cup games have too much added extra time, Brazil- Norway with 6 mins for example just on 1st half, Portugal- Croatia had 10 mins that went to almost 18 mins

Portugal to Estonia ( 1 year ), then India ( 2 years ), Singapore ( 3 years and married there ) and now Netherlands ( 5 years and kid born here ). Have many stories about taxes, VISAS, employment passes, passport checks and so many other things You really look at the world with different eyes

Flowers from our garden in the Netherlands

Good one, but the question on everyone’s mind: “When is the paper on Siri coming though?” Cc:@linasbeliunas

Uhh, who’s going to tell him?

A plan is useless if it’s a “laundry list.” Every tactic needs a metric, an owner, and a deadline. Map day → week → month before Monday starts—then execute

Here’s a hard pill: to keep your business’s cash flowing, you might need a side job for now. That or add on your company incorporation activity, something related to referrals. Network, connect A with B, take a cut.( people that need USD bank accounts, people that need a new acquiring channel, people that need traffic, make intros, take a cut ). use that cash flow for your stuff, buy traffic, pay vendors, get your own servers, whatever. And you always know someone that provides some service, so do a lead referral, it takes like 20 mins to set up and sign. And start referring. Who do you know that provides a service that other people you know need?

My timeline rn, If humans so smart, why every group project end in chaos? frustration with systems that are supposed to be all-powerful, whether divine or digital is real

Marinating some good meat the night before and grilling it is such a hack. Grilling and gardening are 2 of the activities where most of my ideas come up.

xitter.cf/namedvitor/status/1923… I just did a thread on Partnerships as a way to increase your runway ( this probably fits best very early stage founders that are looking for some dozens of thousands of EUR/USD to buy traffic, to buy some server hardware, etc ). Partnerships are cool!
