When millionaires talk about risk, personal financial risk even, they don’t mean it like the rest of us understand. They won’t be destitute if that “risky play” doesn’t pan out. They won’t be unable to feed their kids or be homeless. They have a large backstop and always did.

I want to dig in for a bit on this set of Slack replies from a Twitter manager talking about undoing some of the layoffs.
It’s as though we don’t have decades of learning how to run effective engineering orgs. Hint: it doesn’t include mandatory buts-in-seats time nor overloaded line managers.
