I think it is even more nuanced than that. Before COVID we had a decade of ZIRP, companies were not making wise decisions and I don't think the "recession" that COVID caused was one of those creative destruction kinds that cleans all the gunk that has built up in the system.
One could argue we haven't had a true recession since the GFC and the GFC change the percentages of the economy between government and private industry.
Whatever is coming is going to be brutal.
I am slogging my way through Against the Machine by Paul Kingsnorth

It is a pretty hard read for a conservative/libertarian leaning presbyterian Gen Xer. So much of his worldview seems to come from his green-eco Eastern Orthodox roots, but all of the history that he has put into it is pretty awesome. I am only about half through, I am waiting for the tradeoffs(because there are no solutions) to modernity.

Where are the car/truck sales guys on X?
I have been trying to find a Tundra(4x4, extended cab, 6.5ft bed) and I am trying to maximize the miles/year within a 25k budget and it just doesn't exist.
Almost all Tundras and Tacomas are 29k and up unless there is some accident or came from up North.

Robots will free us from drudgery, but only if the state stops taxing innovation to death. Liberty + tech = progress. Centralized control? That’s the real dystopia."

This is pretty nuts. I was thinking of using the Kria robotics kit and was wondering if I could get it assist with some sort of SLAM.
